A flight attendant

A flight attendant is one of the most exciting jobs in


the world. This occupation consists of serving food and © VICENS VIVES
drinks on a plane. And you always have to smile and be
polite and nice.
In addition, you are in charge of the safety and
security. You have to do long training to be prepared in
case of an emergency, and also medical training in case
a passenger doesn’t feel good.
It’s not an easy job, because often you work at night
and for long hours.
The positive part of this occupation is that you travel
a lot and you always meet many people from different
cultures.

Birds

Birds are vertebrated animals with feathers.


Birds are the only animal with feathers. The colour
of the feathers can be used to camouflage the bird
or to help it find a boyfriend or a girlfriend!
Most birds have wings that they use to fly. They
generally have a beak with no teeth and lay eggs.
Scientists believe that birds evolved from
theropod dinosaurs. There are around 10000
different species of bird worldwide.
Parrots are one of the most intelligent bird
species. Some species are known for imitating
human voices. Some parrot species can live for
over 80 years.
