Abstract

The study analyzed the road usage and vehicle parking supply/demand inside the
educational area at USC-TC. Vehicular activity and vehicular parking was measured
through a spot check system. The researchers tallied the number of passing vehicles
passing through the selected intersection and the number of parked vehicles in a certain
time interval. The most vehicular activity occurred at 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM which are
understood as peak hours for entering and exiting respectively. The data correlates with
the parking data as from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM most parking areas experienced full and
overspill capacity. Installations of traffic signs and proper parking borders are
recommended for the improvement of traffic flow and parking space utilization.
