Professional Experience
Junior Physicist, Lahey Health – June 2014 - present
● Continually grew in scope, taking on more responsibility specifically in the area
of medical dosimetry as a self-directed team member among 6 physicists and 7
dosimetrists.
● Imported data sets, performed image registrations, contoured normal tissue
structures, set up data sets for planning, wrapped up plans, printed
documentation, and exported to record and verify system.
● Developed a comprehensive and dynamic treatment planning dose summary tool
to standardize and evaluate treatment site specific dosimetric planning objectives.
● Created and implemented tools for task and data tracking, documentation,
research, process improvement, error reduction, and workflow enhancement
across multiple areas of the department.
● Performed routine quality assurance tasks under the direction of a QMP, to
include linac MQA, CT MQA, IMRT/VMAT/SBRT plan QA, TPS AQA, and
instrument calibration management. Participated in linac AQA, brachytherapy
MQA and AQA, CT density AQA, and others as requested.
● Participated in commissioning of Eclipse v13.7 and v15.1 across multiple clinical
sites from Pinnacle v9.8, including the development of a commissioning strategy,
and data collection and tracking tool. Performed same duties for TrueBeam
commissioning.
● Assisted in rebuilding the existing physics program for a standalone site along
with one other physicist. Worked to develop and update all physics and
dosimetry documentation, policies, and procedures.
