Board Meeting Minutes: November 12, 2018


5:30 PM, BLOCK D, LIMA, San Lucas, Lipa city
Board Members:
Present: Rachelle Acusa, Danielle Anne Bleza, Meny-Lyn Del Valle-Del
Rosario, Angelo Natividad Hipolito, Ritchelle Libon, Strawberry Raz and
Karla Suba.
Absent: None

Proceedings:
· Meeting called to order at 5:45 by President of the board, Strawberry
Raz and Vice President, Ritchelle Libon

· Secretary’s report:
-Nominations for the Election of President and Vice President of the
board was held. Miss Rachelle Acusa nominated Miss Strawberry Raz as
President and Miss Karla Holgado, in turn, nominated Ritchelle Libon as
Vice president.
-Both Miss Strawberry Raz and Ritchelle Libon recieved unanimous vote
by all Board of directors present at the meeting.Hence, they were
Elected as President and Vice President of the board of directors,
respectively.
-The President of the board, Miss Strawberry Raz call the attention every
member of the board in order to resolve how their corporate social
responsibility engagement will be carried out. Multitude of suggestion
were given and arguments ensue.
-Miss Danielle Bleza Poyang, put forward for consideration, coastal clean
up on numerous places. One, in Barangay Kinalaglagan, Mataas na
Kahoy, Batangas. She advance as a basis of her arguments that Solid
and Liquid disposal were non-existent along such part of the banks of
Taal lake. Second, in Tigbakin Lipa City, Batangas, which was regarded
as the only geo-reserve in Lipa City. But, Miss Rachelle Acusa and
Menlyn De Valle- Del Rosario express reservation with regards to
sensitivity of the people in the Locality for a possible encroachment or
interference of the corporation if the engagement will be executed. And
how the coastal clean up will be carried out most effectively.
- Another recommendation emerge with similar tenor to coastal clean
up, it was raised by Miss Karla Suba and Mr Angelo Hipolito, the two
postulate that marine traffic and coastal industrial plant in Batangas,
cause pollution, destruction and deterioration of Verde Island Passage
(VIP) Corridor – a sea expanse between the littoral provinces of
Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, and
Romblon – widely acclaimed as the global "center of the center of marine
biodiversity" for hosting the greatest number of shorefish species in the
world.
- Miss Menylyn Del Valle-Del Rosario propose a different type of
corporate social responsibility engagement. She recommend converting
Pinya Peeling to useful materials or products that can be sold to earn
profits.
- Miss Rachelle Acusa and Ritchelle Libon suggested solar panel
installment to be placed in some remote areas with no electrical
supply in the province of Batangas.
- Miss Strawberry Raz and Miss Rachelle Cause put forward the last
recommendation regarding coffee packaging to be converted or
transform to fruitful and useful materials and products with
coordination of TESDA, Gawad kalinga and Bahay ni Kuya. They
contend that it is most cost efficient and more in line with the nature
and purpose of the corporation.
- Board resolution was adopted by Majority of board of directors with
only one dissenting espousing the last recommendation converting
packaging of Coffee to useful materials and product as their final social
engagement.
