Step 5. - Consider what the data is telling you.

For this final step, in a Word document you will


include a section on what you see from the data. Tell us what you learned about your students'
performance and your teaching.

 How well is the class doing as a whole group? Provide two statements.

As a whole group, the class is doing okay. There are 6 failing grades, which is a little concerning.
The class average was a 67%.

 Which individuals are doing well and in what topics? Describe at least 3 students.

Some individuals in my class are doing very well. Juan received a 100% on the test, and Cody
received a 93%. In regard to the addition questions, (aside from Juan and Cody) Hugh is
excelling. In regard to the subtraction questions, both Hannah and Jamal are prevailing.

 Who may need extra support and on what topics? Describe at least 3 students.

According to the test results for the addition questions of the test, Nathan, Bianca, Claire, Luke,
Hannah, and Carly all need extra time and support to review this particular topic area of math.
According to the test results for the subtraction questions of the test, Patrick, Sarah, Nathan,
Kiara, Molly, Claire, and Luke all need extra time and support to review this particular topic area
of math.
