Vietnam Cocoa Committee (VCC) was established in 2005 under the Decision No. 803 / QD /
BNN-NN dated 11 April 2005 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Nowadays,
there are 29 members with 2 sub-committees, namely sub-committees for Science and
Technology Consultancy, and sub-committees for International Cooperation and Information and
Training, and Manufacturing, Processing and Trading Consultancy, in VCC.
VCC has been operating for 13 years with missions which are linking, coordinating and
mobilizing the resources of central and local agencies, scientific research institutions, agricultural
extension agencies, associations and enterprises in foreign countries, international organization.
The main purpose is that to advise the Minister on all aspects related to sustainable cocoa
development in Vietnam and to achieve remarkable achievements:

- International cooperation: Actively participating in collaborative activities with ACC
and international organizations; Promoting PPP investment.
VCC actually held two meetings in a year so as to evaluate the results learn from failures and set
the direction of activities in the future.
