A PROPOSAL

BACKGROUND:
You have been talking to somebody from a local
tourist information office. During your
conversation you noted that some tourists are
not very aware of your culture.

As a result, you decide to write a proposal for

tour companies suggesting where tourists could
go in your area to learn about the culture and
what typical features of your culture should be
highlighted.

INSTRUCTIONS:
In your proposal you should ...
• explain why you have written the proposal
• list three or four aspects of your culture which
tourists could learn about
• explain where they should go to learn about
them
• use neutral or slightly formal language.

Write 220–260 words in an appropriate style.
