The SWOT matrix

The SWOT analysis matrix is an analysis tool that is used to evaluate any object of

study at a given moment in time.

The acronym SWOT is an acronym that distinguishes strengths, opportunities,

weaknesses and threats. In some bibliographies in Spanish, it also appears with the

acronym SWOT, alternating the order for weaknesses, threats, strengths and

opportunities.

The SWOT Analysis is used as a basis for decision making. Sometimes it is enough to

perform some superficial analyzes to perform a quick analysis, but when what is sought

is to sustain different actions and strategies over time, many and different available

factors are analyzed, whose study demands a thorough analysis. That's where the

SWOT Analysis appears in all its magnitude.

La matriz de análisis FODA es una herramienta de análisis que se utiliza para evaluar

cualquier objeto de estudio en un momento determinado del tiempo.

La sigla FODA es un acrónimo que distingue fortalezas, oportunidades, debilidades y

amenazas. En algunas bibliografías en español, aparece también con las siglas DAFO,

alternando el orden para debilidades, amenazas, fortalezas y oportunidades.

El Análisis FODA se utiliza como base para la toma de decisiones. En ocasiones basta

con realizar algunos análisis superficiales para realizar un análisis rápido, pero cuando

lo que se busca es sostener diferentes acciones y estrategias en el tiempo, se analizan

muchos y diferentes factores disponibles, cuyo estudio demanda un análisis exhaustivo.
