Strengths of the lesson:

 Thuraya begins very enthusiastically, with a big smile and a very positive attitude

 Thuraya gives the students the rules of the class. For example if they listen to her she
will reward them a star which will lead them to get a gift at end.
 Thuraya is always making eye contact with her students.
 Thuraya does a good job in demonstrating the activity before the learners work:
For instance: She writes a formula on the whiteboard and works to figure the
math activity with the whole class.
 Then she gives the students A4 papers which contains the operations, and the
students are required to put the correct numbers, Thuraya gives the student
cubes which can help the students to get the right number for the formula.
 She gives the students time to work on the formulas in peers.
 Thuraya walks around the class to check student’s work on the task.
 Thuraya keeps the learners working, helps the learners during their work and provides
feedback by correcting their worksheet on the same time. (welldone Thuraya).
 Thuraya rewards the students by giving the students stars on their class list.
 She asks the students to open the book and do the task.
Areas for development:
Thuraya must set a long term goal of developing her English language skills. Luckily,
Thuraya is already very fluent and very comfortable communicating with her students
and her colleagues in English. Now, she must focus on making less grammatical errors
when she speaks.

Thuraya your students were very active, they need more challenging activity to be
engaged and not moving from their chairs. The activity was great, but maybe next class,
you can plan something different which can make them busy and engage.

Final comment:
Overall, Thuraya is comfortable in her role as a teacher. The timing of each activity was
given suitable and lesson objective met during the class period.
