HUBUNGAN KADAR ASAM URAT DENGAN STATUS GIZI PADA
PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DI RUMAH SAKIT NATAR
MEDIKA PROVINSI LAMPUNG TAHUN 2018

darah. Laporan World Health Organization (WHO) bahwa penderita Diabetes
Melitus di seluruh dunia hampir mencapai 150 juta orang. Data Departemen

MPV= 11,050 fL, PDW= 13,297 %, dan jumlah trombosit = 262366/µl. Pada kelompok
pasien stroke hemoragik didapatkan nilai rata-rata MPV = 10,350 fL, PDW = 13,570 %,
jumlah trombosit 243566/µl.

= 0,569 ; p = 0,356).

COMPARATIVE VALUES MPV, PDW, AND THROMBOCYTE
AMOUNT OF NON-HEMORRHAGIC AND HEMORRHAGIC STROKE
PATIENTS AT HOSPITAL DR. H. ABDUL MOELOEK LAMPUNG
ABSTRACT

Background: Stroke is a multifactorial disease with various causes and be accompanied

bymajor manifestations and cause disability and death in both developed countries and
developing countries. Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) and Platelet Distribution width
(PDW) is an indicator of platelet function or activity. Platelets play an important role in
the pathophysiology of non-hemorrhagic stroke in the pathogenesis of hemorrhagic stroke
but still not well understood.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the value of MPV, PDW, and the number of
platelets in patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke at the Hospital
Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung.

Method: This research is a comparative analytic research with cross sectional

approach. Using the new patient data in Section Saraf Hospital Dr. H. Abdul
Moeloek Lampung and take the patient's medical record data for the value of
MPV, PDW, and the number of platelets in the Laboratory of Clinical Pathology,
Hospital Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province. The sampling technique used
was purposive sampling technique. Based on inclusion criteria, 30 patients
obtained non-hemorrhagic strokes and 30 hemorrhagic stroke patients. Data were
analyzed using Independent T test
Results: The average value MPV non-hemorrhagic stroke patients at 11.050 fL, the
average value of non-hemorrhagic stroke patients PDW amounted to 13.297 % and the
average number of platelets in patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke by 262 366 /µl. The
average value of hemorrhagic stroke patients MPV 10.350 fL, the average value PDW
hemorrhagic stroke patients at 13.570 % and the average number of platelets in patients
with hemorrhagic stroke at 243566/µl. There are differences in the average value of MPV
patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke with p = 0.009. There is no
difference in the average value of the PDW patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke and
hemorrhagic stroke with p = 0.569. No difference in the average number of platelets
patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke and stroke hemoraik province with p = 0.356.

Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the average value of MPV between the
stroke non-hemorrhagic and hemorrhagic stroke (p = 0.009), there is no difference in the
average value of PDW, platelet counts between groups stroke non-hemorrhagic and
hemorrhagic stroke (p = 0.569; p = 0.356).
