Appendix 1 Answer Key to Reinforcement Helpers 114
Appendix 2 Ministry Team Guidelines 126
INTRODUCTION
WARNING! Do not take this school unless you are committed to
living a radical Christian life and unless you are
passionate about walking out Jesus’ commission to His
disciples to “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the
dead, cast out demons”. (Matt. 10:8) This course will
ruin you forever from being able to live an “ordinary
Christian life”!!
This workbook is designed for those who really desire to fully share the gospel with
others, not in word only, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and in power (1 Cor.
2:4). These 18 lessons will also help those of you who want to grow in faith for a healing
or miracle in your own life and who desire a greater revelation of the Father’s passion
for His people to walk in divine health. Each lesson is set‐up with a Key Bible Verse,
Reinforcement Helpers, a Life Application and a Prayer to help you both learn and
make the lessons practical to your life.
Through the years of my ministry and Christian life, I have come to see that most
believers are desperate to see God made real to them in their every day life. They want
their faith to be more than just some fancy theological words, nice doctrine or a three‐
point sermon. They want a Christian life that reflects the Christianity of the bible, a
Christianity in which healings, miracles, signs and wonders are regular and normal
experiences. Most believers yearn, deep inside, to find a Christianity powerful enough
to meet their needs in body, soul and spirit. They want a faith that’s real, that’s exciting,
that makes unbelievers sit up and take notice. This school is designed to take you into
that world of the supernatural, of the power of God, and of faith adventures with God
that rock your world and the world around you.
My desire is to make the commission of Mark 16:17‐18 no longer just words on a page,
but an exciting everyday reality. “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My
name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; “they will take up
serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay
hands on the sick, and they will recover.” If you’re a believer, then you’re a candidate
for this commission.
Jesus has made us a sure promise in John 14:12 saying: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he
who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he
will do, because I go to My Father.” This is not only a promise, but also a wonderful
birthright for every believer who would dare walk into this realm of the supernatural
that Jesus modeled for us on the earth.
Once you know and understand the commission and the promise outlined in this
course, it will be your responsibility to pursue the reality of it. You must take an active
role by stepping out, praying and laying hands on the sick. Just learning about healing
is not enough—there is no substitute for experience. So start stepping out and doing the
stuff! Pray for everyone you can find who needs healing, trusting for the Holy Spirit’s
help—He is a great teacher. There is no particular method of healing the sick, other than
just doing what Jesus did and following the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Some of you
may see healing manifest right away when you minister to the sick. Others may have to
pray for 1,000 people before you see results, an actual healing or miracle. However,
remember, if you persist, you will see God’s power manifest.
My prayer for you, as you allow the Holy Spirit to teach you throughout this school, is
that you will receive healing, start to walk in divine health and grow in passion to take
God’s power to the world. I also pray that this school will greatly build your faith and
give you boldness to pray for the sick at home, at church, in your neighborhood, at
work and wherever you are in the world. The lost need to know the healing power of
our awesome God.
One last thought ‐‐ it’s absolutely essential for you to begin warring and contending for
the power of God so you can be a channel of healing blessing to the world. In Matthew
7:7‐8 Jesus tells us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking “for everyone who asks
receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Once you
begin to see the manifestation of healings and miracles, you will need to continue
nurturing the anointing and gifts in your life. As you are faithful with little, God will
bless you with much. Together, let’s do it!

TODD BENTLEY
Lesson One – SOZO – Salvation, Deliverance and Healing by Todd Bentley
LESSON ONE
SOZO – SALVATION, DELIVERANCE AND HEALING
Key Bible Verses:
“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits,
to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.” (Matthew 10:1)
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save (sozo) the
sick…” (James 5:14‐15)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Define SOZO and look at scriptural instances where this Greek word is used.
9 Describe and accept the commission of Matthew 10.
This lesson examines the scriptural foundation of salvation, rooted in the Greek word
SOZO, so that we can recognize the full extent of the gospel and of our commission. If
we are going to be released into the ministry of praying for the sick, we must have a
revelation of the heart of God. We need to know that God’s desire is to heal every sick
person. The Bible tells us that Jesus was moved with compassion and healed all the sick.
He healed every sickness and every disease that people were afflicted with.
1. Jesus Healed Everyone (Matt. 4:24; 8:16; Luke 6:17‐19)
2. Moved with Compassion (Matt. 14:14)
3. The Disciples’ Commission (Matt. 10:1,7,8; Luke 10:1‐11)
4. The Same Works as Jesus (John 14:12)
5. Divine Health is a Process (Luke 17:12‐14)
6. Miracles are Instant (John 5:1‐9)
7. Warring Against Sickness (Matt. 11:12; Matt. 9:20,21)
8. SOZO: Complete Salvation
a. SOZO defined –
b. SOZO prophesied (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21)
c. SOZO: salvation for the spirit (Matt. 1:21; Rom. 10:13; save or saved = sozo)
d. SOZO: deliverance for the soul (Luke 8:36— healed = sozo)
e. SOZO: healing for the body (Mark 5:34; James 5:15; whole or save = sozo)
9. Out of Egypt (Ps. 105:37)
10. A type of Calvary (Ex. 15:22‐25; Numbers 21:4‐8)
11. The God who heals (Ex. 15:26)
12. Victory over sin first (Rom. 8:1‐2)
13. Stripes for our healing (Isaiah 53:1‐5)
14. Forgiveness & Healing go together (Is. 33:24; Mk. 2:3‐12)
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. If we are going to be released into the ministry of praying for the sick, we
must have a revelation of the _______________ of God.
2. He healed ________________ sickness and _______________ disease among the
people. He healed them _______________.
3. Who did Jesus commission, in Matthew 10, to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers,
raise the dead and cast out demons?_______________________________________
4. What did Jesus tell the disciples to preach in Matthew 10:7?
5. We cannot separate _____________________________ from the covenant of
Jesus.
6. In Joel 2:32, the word “saved” refers to _______________, _______________ and
___________________.
7. The key to the promise of healing in Exodus 15:26 is to remain under
_______________________ _______________________ of ____________________.
8. You never see sickness and disease in the Bible until you see
_________________________.
9. What was the first thing Jesus did on the cross?
10. In Romans 8:2 God made a healing _______________________________ with
man.
11. What does the Bible mean when it says that the people came out of Egypt and
were made whole?
12. Define the Greek word ‘SOZO’:
Life Application:
9 One of the reasons we do not see the sick healed is because every time we pray
for the sick, there is still a part of us that says, “Lord, if it’s Your will” or “Lord, if
it’s Your timing. But somewhere deep inside, these nagging thoughts are really
doubts. When you pray for the sick, do you pray with expectation? If no,
meditate on God’s Word about healing, praying for transformation of your mind
until faith rises and destroys all doubt.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s great SOZO provision for you and to show
you how He wants you to apply this lesson to your daily life, so that you become
more like Jesus in heart, mind and deed.
Prayer:
Thank You Jesus that you healed everyone and every sickness and that You’re still the same
today. I believe that You are still moved with compassion when those You created are sick. Please
give me a revelation of Your heart for the sick and poor and fill me with that same compassion
You had. Lord, let the understanding of SOZO, Your covenant with Your people for wholeness
in body, soul and spirit, grow deep within my heart. Let that seed grow into radical faith. I pray,
too, that You would help me to obey that same commission You gave to Your disciples to heal the
sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons. With Your help, I choose to walk in
radical obedience and to war against sickness and disease. Thank You that today You are
bringing us, Your people, out of Egypt, out of bondage to sickness in body, soul and spirit. I
declare to the heavenly realm that You are the God who heals! From now on I choose to live like a
believer in Your word of SOZO – salvation, healing, deliverance until I see the full
manifestation in and through my life. Amen.
LESSON TWO
SEVEN REDEMPTIVE NAMES OF GOD
Key Bible Verse:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual
blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Identify the seven redemptive names of God through Calvary.
9 Identify our inheritance from Jesus.
9 Examine the prophetic scriptures to identify all the redemptive reasons Christ
suffered for us.
Our awesome God has many redemptive names in scripture which all point to the work
of Calvary and the blessings it provides for God’s children. God’s very names speak of
the rich inheritance He has provided for us. When Jesus died and shed His blood for the
world, He opened up Heaven’s treasure room to His people. Let’s examine the
redemptive nature of our Father, embodied in His name Jehovah.
Listed below are the seven redemptive names of God we will study:
9 Jehovah‐Shammah
9 Jehovah‐Shalom
9 Jehovah‐Rohi
9 Jehovah‐Jireh
9 Jehovah‐Nissi
9 Jehovah‐Tsidkenu
9 Jehovah‐Rapha
** Although the New Testament verses listed here do not contain the Hebrew words
examined, they do describe the specific nature of God we are studying in that section.
1. Jehovah‐Shammah
Ezekiel 48:35 –
Matt. 18:20 –
2. Jehovah‐Shalom
Judges 6:24 –
Isaiah 9:6 –
Isaiah 53:5 –
Eph. 2:14 –
3. Jehovah‐Rohi
Psalm 23:1 –
John 10:11 –
4. Jehovah‐Jireh
Gen. 22:8‐14 –
Phil. 4:19 –
5. Jehovah‐Nissi
Ex. 17:15 –
Isaiah 11:10 –
Isaiah 49:22 –
6. Jehovah‐Tsidkenu
Gen. 14:18 (Melchizedek = king of righteousness) –
Jer. 23:6 –
Jer. 33:16 –
7. Jehovah‐Rapha
Ex.15:26 –
Isaiah 53:5 –
1 Pet. 2:24 –
Jesus didn’t shed His Blood so you could be healed when you get to heaven. There is
no sorrow, pain, tears and sickness in heaven. You don’t need to be healed in heaven.
Healing is now. One thing I love about Jesus is that He said, “I don’t just want you to be
saved so one day you can be absent from the body and present with the Lord”.
Hallelujah, you can die and go to heaven forever. He says, “I want the kingdom of God
to come inside you now. I want the reality of the kingdom of God to be yours now. I
want you to experience who I am and what I have achieved for you. I want you to
experience the inheritance of the kingdom of heaven on the earth now. I don’t want
you to wait for it”.
You need to have a mind‐set of: “I’m going to have everything Jesus intended for me to
have. I can see everything He wanted me to have when I see the cross. I will settle for
nothing else but what I know He paid for me to have. I’m going to have it and it’s a gift
and I don’t have to do anything to have it”. And for us to receive and believe anything
else would be an injustice to God. We need to see the price of a miracle. We need to see
every blood drop that came out of the body of Jesus and we need to say: “That’s why I
can be healed – that’s why I must be healed – that’s why we must preach the gospel –
heal the sick, cleanse the leper and raise the dead.”
He has given you access to the throne of God because He is Who He is. He will be who
He is forever, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. He wants you to
know something: “I know no limits!” What is impossible with man is not impossible
with God.
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. List the seven redemptive names of God and provide the literal translation for
each name.
2. The first way God revealed Himself, after He brought the children of Israel up
out of Egypt was as your __________________.
3. The _____________ has robbed us of the full blessing of everything God has
for us in salvation.
4. I can see everything Jesus wanted me to have when I see the
_________________.
5. Jesus said something like, “I want the _________________ of ______________ to
come inside you now.”
6. Because He has risen He has made me victorious over the power of
________________________.
7. Describe the prophetic reasons (with scriptures) why Christ suffered as the
redemptive sacrifice for us.
Life Application:
9 If you think you believe and have faith but find it difficult stepping out in faith
that God will deliver on healings and miracles, now is the time to repent. You
see believing is passive and having faith is active. If you want to experience the
fullness of God you need to take steps of faith based on His promises.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants to apply this lesson to your
daily life so that you are transformed into the image of Jesus, His living word.
Prayer:
Lord, I love You and I want to stand at the foot of Calvary. I want a greater revelation of Your
death and resurrection and what it means to me. Oh, Lord, please make the message of the cross,
the power of God, a reality to me. I’m also asking that You would reveal the reality of Your
awesome redemptive names to me. Destroy every lie the enemy has sown in me to prevent me
from seeing You in all your awesome power and beauty. Lord I ask that You would forgive me
for unbelief in Your nature and in Your healing, miracle‐working power. Root out all unbelief
and fear and help me to step out in radical faith in Your nature and faith in Your power. Come
Lord and fill me with Your power, and with Your words of life. Show me the next steps You
want me to take, Father. I thank You Lord that it’s a new day for me – now I’m venturing into
new areas of victory in my life. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
LESSON THREE
TOUCHING GOD ON COVENANT
Key Bible Verse:
“Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up
your bed and walk’?” (Mark 2:9)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Define biblical covenant and its power for every believer.
9 Cite examples where people were healed because they believed.
9 Describe the difference between believing and faith.
In this lesson we will continue to strengthen our biblical foundation of faith for healing.
We will learn about the Father’s passionate desire for our healing and about the
powerful covenant He has cut with us. This covenant provides for health, healing and
miracles. His great promises to us can anchor our faith for His supernatural healing
provision.
1. Healing – Getting Started
a. “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:6)
b. “Do you believe I am able to do this? (Matt. 9:28)
c. Standing in the gap (A story of God’s promise and compassion)
2. Faith: More than believing
a. Action (Acts 14:8‐10)
b. Expectation (Mark 2:3‐5)
3. Forgiveness of sins (Mark 2:8‐11)
4. Forgiveness and healing (Psalm 103:3)
5. Touching God’s Promise (Mark 5:24‐34, Luke 18:35, Matt. 15:21‐28)
6. Calvary’s Covenant (Is. 53:5; 1 Pet.2:24)
If your sins get forgiven, so does your disease. If you’ve already found the forgiveness
of sins through Jesus Christ, then you can believe for your disease to disappear in His
name. The woman with the issue of blood got down and humbled herself before Jesus,
the great High Priest. She honored the law and trusted that He would keep His
promise. We can also place our trust in Jesus as priest, the One Who came to forgive us
and make us whole in every way.
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. Give reasons why someone may ask for prayer but not really want to be
healed.
2. Describe the spiritual principle behind “standing in the gap” for healing.
3. What does Jesus look for so He can honor someone’s desire for healing?
4. What is Faith? Faith is __________________, faith __________________, and faith
________________________ .
5. Faith without works is _______________
6. What you believe is not ____________________ until you ____________________.
7. Listening to the _______________________ helps get people into faith to receive
their miracles.
8. What preceded the paralytic’s physical miracle?
9. Why did Jesus pronounce the paralytic’s sins forgiven before commanding
him to pick up his bed and walk?
10. God will heal by _______________, __________________, but God will always
heal when touched on __________________________________________________.
11. In Mark 5, a woman is healed when she touches the hem of Jesus’ garment.
What is the significance of the hem of His garment? Explain.
12. Explain the link between forgiveness of sin and healing.
13. Cite any two examples in the lesson in which people were healed because they
believed.
Life Application:
9 The question isn’t about God’s ability; it’s about your belief. Do you believe your
sins are forgiven and that Jesus is also the priest of your healing? If your answer
is yes, thank the Lord for His grace and continue honoring His covenant by
praying for others with great expectancy. If you answered no, seek out someone
in your church leadership for prayer ministry.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your daily life, so that you become more like Jesus in heart, mind and deed.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for your covenant promises of forgiveness and healing through my great high
priest Jesus. Please continue speaking to me about Your promises. I know Your word says that
You always keep your words for those who believe in them. Lord, help me to take action upon my
belief in Your word. I ask that You would build unshakable faith into my life and stir up a
passionate desire to reach out and take hold of the miracles You have for me. Yes Lord, I expect
Your miracles in my life. Father, help me to not only receive Your promises for myself, but to
also exercise my faith standing in the gap for the healing of others. As I go from here today, I
choose to put feet to my faith and action to my belief in Your word. Amen.
LESSON FOUR

for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38)
4. Paraphrase a scripture from the lesson that impacted you deeply.
5. Explain God’s loving covenant of healing.
Life Application:
9 Meditate on the scriptures in this lesson. Then pray for the Holy Spirit to remove
all lies of the enemy from your mind and to make these truths revelation to you.
9 Ask Jesus to let His fullness come and flow through your life. Ask Him to reveal
to you how you are to begin manifesting the power of His kingdom.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your daily life, so that you become more like Jesus in heart, mind and deed.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You that it is so abundantly clear from Your word that You really want to heal
everyone. Thank you that You have made a covenant of healing with Your people and have
delivered us from the curse of the law. You are truly so loving and so good. Let these revelations
sink deep into my heart and drive out any lies of the enemy and traditions of man. I ask that You
would make me like Jesus, one who destroys the works of the devil and brings freedom and
healing to the lives of people. I want to preach and demonstrate Your full gospel, Your incredible
good news. Let Your kingdom be manifest through my life, I pray. Amen.
LESSON FIVE
THE WORKING OF FAITH, HEALINGS AND MIRACLES
Key Bible Verse:
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus
said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard
seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will
be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:19‐20)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Describe the gift of faith and measure of faith.
9 Determine the difference between personal and corporate anointing.
9 Learn about the healing anointing.
In this lesson we’ll learn about the different types of faith and where they come from, as
well as the different types of anointing and how to operate in them. Recognizing these
differences will allow you to more effectively know God’s will and timing in various
ministry situations.
1. The Measure of Faith
a. His Grace (Romans 12:3; Eph. 4:7)
b. Move Mountains (Matt. 17:20)
c. Whatever You Ask! (Matt. 21:22)
d. A Seed that Grows (Mark 4:30‐32)
e. Faith Hears (Rom. 10:17)
Consider two individuals – one with knowledge who does nothing with it and one who
has knowledge and acts upon that knowledge. To the one who has knowledge and
does nothing, he will lose even what he has. But to the one who has knowledge and
acts upon that knowledge, more will be given and faith will grow. We know faith
comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God; so we meditate in the Word and as
God makes His Word come alive in our hearts, faith begins to grow in us. Your faith
will grow by using what you have and seeing God fulfill His promises.
2. Ever Increasing Faith
3. The Gift of Faith
a. Spiritual Gifts (1 Cor. 12:8,9)
b. By Grace (Eph. 2:8)
4. The Healing Anointing
a. Peter (Acts 5:15)
b. Mary (Luke 1:34)
5. The Gifts of Miracles and Healings
a. Gifts with an “s” (1 Cor. 12:1,4)
b. Earnestly desire gifts (1 Cor. 12:31)
The Bible says to earnestly desire spiritual gifts. Why would God want us to desire
something He didn’t want us to have? If we can get desperate and hungry enough for a
certain anointing, we can have it.
6. Changing the Atmosphere
Corporate anointing is always atmosphere and it’s always corporate. Healing anointing
involves everybody; it’s in the air. When there’s none of that in a meeting and it’s dead,
flat and lifeless and I don’t have any words of knowledge and I feel resistance and
doubt and skepticism from the crowd and I want to step into miracle flow, I can resort
to personal anointing. How do I resort to personal anointing? Personal gifting. At will,
I can pray for the deaf and the deaf will hear; it’s a gift I have. So if I want to open a
meeting up, I’d invite all the deaf to come up on the platform right now. I’m always
working to change the climate and atmosphere in my meeting. I’m always looking for
who’s got faith. Where’s the one person who, when she gets healed, will open up the
whole service? If I have no words of knowledge, the heavens are brass and I feel like
I’m going nowhere, I can always resort to my personal giftings. When the deaf are
healed it will change the atmosphere of the whole service.
One thing I can do to open heaven and bring in miracle flow is to take authority over
my climate. To do that, usually I will take authority over my atmosphere from the
pulpit. I just start calling out all the spirits of infirmity, deaf and dumb spirits, and all
the different demons that cause sickness and disease. I want to bring the service into
healing anointing, corporate anointing and open heaven so people will get healed in
their seats.
a. The greater One in me (1 John 4:4)
b. Tread on serpents (Luke 10:19)
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. The measure of faith is faith which ________________________ when you use it.
2. Personal anointing begins with _________________________________.
3. The gift of faith is for the ____________________________; the gift of faith is
_________________________, the ______________________________ kind of faith.
realm of God.
5. If I can get desperate enough for a certain anointing, I can have it. True or
False (circle correct answer)
6. Corporate anointing is always about _________________________; it’s in the air.
7. Healing anointing is about the gift of faith. True or False (circle correct
answer)
8. What can you do to change the atmosphere of a lifeless meeting?
Life Application:
9 List the spiritual gifts you believe the Holy Spirit has given you.
9 List those spiritual gifts you earnestly desire and faithfully pray for.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your daily life so that you become more like Jesus in heart, mind and deed.
Prayer:
Father I thank You that You have provided the tools for me to operate in miracles and healings.
You have commanded me to heal the sick. Forgive me for the times I have not acted on Your
command. I ask that You would help me to faithfully use and grow in the measure of faith You
have given me. I pray too, Holy Spirit, that You would give me the gift of faith ‐ supernatural
faith to walk in the works of Jesus. Lord, today I trust myself to Your grace and empowerment. I
confess that I cannot have mountain‐moving faith without You. Holy Spirit, come right now and
release a fresh infusion and a fresh impartation of the spirit and energy of faith. Let faith come
upon my life today. I also ask that You would increase my passion for intimacy with You and
that You would increase the anointing on my life for miracles and healings as I bask in Your
presence. Holy Spirit, I want to be Your partner. You have all the faith, and all the anointing I
need. Thank You Jesus that You are imparting these blessings to me. Amen.
LESSON SIX
FOUR LEVELS OF HEALING
Key Bible Verse:
“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them,
and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24)
Lesson Objectives:
9 List the four levels of healing.
9 Identify which two levels fall under faith.
9 Identify which two levels fall under the sovereign realm.
This lesson outlines the four levels of healing. You can maximize your effectiveness by
operating in all four. There are times when you will use just one of the four levels for
healing – the word of faith, prayer of faith, word of knowledge or the healing anointing.
At other times, you will use more than one of the levels in a specific situation or setting.
Let’s examine each level.
A. THE FAITH REALM
1. The Word of Faith
a. Healing word (Psalm 107:20)
b. Words of life (Proverbs 4:20‐22)
c. The Word confirmed (Mark 16:20)
d. Living Word (Heb. 4:12)
2. The Prayer of Faith (James 5:15)
a. The prayer of Elijah (James 5:16‐18)
b. Faith defined (Heb. 11:6)
c. Persevering prayer (Matt. 7:7,8 Amp.; Luke 18:1‐8)
d. Overcoming faith (Heb. 11:39)
Elijah understood that the prayer of faith was what got things done in the kingdom. He
prayed earnestly. Now what does that mean, he prayed earnestly? So the prayer of
faith is this – he prayed and when it didn’t happen, he prayed, and when it didn’t
happen, he prayed, and when it didn’t happen, he prayed. The effective prayer, the
fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!
If you don’t have an immediate manifestation of God’s healing power, it doesn’t mean
you’re not healed. It’s OK not to be instantly healed. But, I believe we need to
understand it’s OK to keep on asking, keep on knocking, keep on seeking, keep on
asking, keep on knocking, keep on seeking. God is a rewarder of those who diligently
seek Him. If you don’t get healed tonight, pray again. If you don’t get healed
tomorrow, pray again. Faith is the prayer that keeps on praying until you get the job
done even if you have to pray for many years. The prayer of faith will heal the sick.
B. THE SOVEREIGN REALM
3. The Word of Knowledge
a. Counsel and might (Is. 11:2)
b. The ministry of Jesus (John 5:19)
When you speak out the blueprint of what God shows you in advance, it will happen
because God said it was going to happen. People will ask, how did you know it was
going to happen? It’s because you took the time to wait for the spirit of counsel and the
spirit of might. You see that’s another way healing works.
4. Healing Anointing
a. Healing Atmosphere (Acts 5:15; Luke 5:17; Hab. 3:4,5)
b. The Annointing within you
Healing anointing is different from faith healing. I believe God wants to bring us into
such an encounter with His presence and the anointing of His Spirit that we carry a
level of the manifestation of God’s presence and glory on our lives that causes people to
get healed.
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. The _______________ of faith and the _______________ of faith come under the
umbrella of faith.
2. There are both miracles and healings in God’s Word.
True or False (circle the correct response)
3. If you want to get people healed, you need to ________________ what the Bible
says about divine healing.
4. The Holy Spirit confirms the Word with _______________ and ______________.
5. Hebrew 4:12 says the Word of God is ________________________ and powerful.
6. The Word has the power to set you free in your ____________________________,
_________________________________, and _________________________________.
7. The prayer of faith is the prayer of _______________________.
8. Summarize James 5:16‐18 in your own words.
9. The prayer of faith is what gets things done in the _________________________.
10. Hebrew 11:6 says that without _______________ it is impossible to please Him.
11. Faith is the faith that keeps on ____________________, __________________, and
_______________.
12. God is the rewarder of those who _______________________________ seek Him.
13. What three things still remain when your prayer hasn’t been answered yet?
______________________, _____________________, and ______________________.
14. The word of knowledge and the healing anointing fall under the
____________________________________ __________________________________.
15. The spirit of might means _______________________________________________.
16. Can you have power and might without counsel?
Yes or No (circle the correct response)
17. Counsel is the __________________________________________________ of Jesus.
18. Where did Jesus get His words of knowledge?
19. Healing anointing is when the _______________ of the Lord is present to heal.
20. Who carried so much of God’s presence on his life that the sick in Jerusalem
were healed when he walked by? ________________________________________
Life Application:
9 There is life and death in the power of the tongue. We bring healing by what we
say. Create an inventory of your relationships and ask yourself, “Do I bring life to
the people I encounter?” (This would be anyone you encounter – a grocery clerk,
someone on the street, a neighbor, your son/daughter, your husband, etc.) Where
the answer is no, begin today.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your daily life, so that you become more like Jesus in heart, mind and deed.
Prayer:
Father, forgive me for my unbelief. I’m sorry for those times where I’ve prayed vain words
without faith or where I’ve just given up without persisting in prayer. Please release to my heart
Your words of revelation that inspire true faith. Help me to speak out Your word over situations
You want to change and to keep praying till the manifestation comes. Father, I also want to
operate in the word of knowledge and in the anointing of Your Spirit. Your Word says that You
give good gifts to Your children who ask, so I ask for these gifts. I thank You for maturing my
faith and increasing the anointing of Your presence on my life to get the impossible done. I want
more miracles Jesus. I want more people healed. I believe Your promises and trust in Your Word.
Thank You for your abundant grace to grow in faith. I know I have a measure of faith and that it
is continuing to grow in me. I ask these things trusting in the word and name of Jesus. Amen.
LESSON SEVEN
CREATIVE MIRACLES
Key Bible Verse:
“So the Lord said to Moses: ‘See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh…” (Exodus 7:1)
Lesson Objectives:
9 List the two keys to having faith for creative miracles.
9 Describe the difference between a healing and a miracle.
9 List examples of signs and wonders.
In this lesson we will examine more thoroughly what God has in store for us if we
choose to fully live out the Great Commission. You will come to understand the
differences between healings, miracles, signs and wonders and will grow in faith to see
their operation in your life.
I believe if we can have a revelation of God as Creator, then we can have faith to believe
for creative miracles and to minister them. When we see the creative nature of the Holy
Spirit and His creative power in us, we will say creative miracles are easy. The gospel is
salvation, healing and deliverance to the body, soul and spirit. I believe a time is
coming when our thinking will be so transformed that when someone says, “I was in a
meeting last night and people’s blind eyes were being opened”, we won’t be very
surprised. Right now when we talk about third heaven experiences, creative miracles
or signs and wonders, people may say they believe, but they really wonder if those
things happen today. It is not as common to us as it should be. It is as easy as believing
in the creative power of God and speaking His Word. We need to begin to grow in
levels of the Kingdom in our spirits to the point we simply believe in the creative power
of God.
1. Creative Miracles in the Beginning
a. Let there be (Genesis 1:1‐3)
b. Spirit works (Psalm 104:30)
2. Healing versus Miracles
a. They will recover (Mark 16:17‐18; Luke 17:11‐19)
b. Instant Manifestation (Mark 2:10‐12; Mark 7:32‐35)
3. Seed Healing (Luke 8:4‐15)
4. Signs and Wonders
a. Heavenly wonders (Acts 2:19)
b. Time stands still (Joshua 10:13)
5. Creative Power in Us
a. The Spirit in you (Rom. 8:11)
b. In the beginning (John 1:1‐4)–
c. Born of God (John 1:10‐13)
6. Keys to Faith for Creative Miracles
a. Revelation of the Power of Elohim
Exodus 7:1 –
Exodus 14:15‐29 ‐
Psalm 82:6‐8 (John 10:34) –
Mark 4:39 –
b. Revelation of Christ in You
Rom. 8:11 –
Rom. 8:17 –
7. The Power of Spoken Words
a. Death and life (Prov. 18:21)
b. Creative speaking (Rom. 4:17)
c. Speak the word (Matthew 8:5‐8)
d. The Principle of Multiplying (Matt. 14:15‐21; 1 Kings 17:8‐16)
8. The Moses & Elijah Anointings
** Rev. 11:3‐6 –
A. Confounding the Natural Mind (1 Kings 17:12,13)
B. Pioneering the Ministry of the Supernatural
When Elisha came to the widow who was in debt, he told her to gather empty vessels
and bring them to the house. She had nothing except the Word from God, which is also
as far along as you and I are concerning a miracle. But she had to bring the vessels and
begin to fill them with the little bit of oil she had. The level in her small jar never
changed, but the big vessels were all filled. First she had to begin to pour out the oil she
already had. In the same way, we are to just give God all we have and He will do the
rest.
We will never understand miracles and healings while we are still in our human bodies.
So we might as well not try to figure out why, when we give what we have, there is still
more. We should not make it so complicated. Creation does not happen without the
Holy Spirit. And the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you and me.
It is as simple as that.
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. When we see the creative nature of the ________________ _______________ and
His creative ______________________ in us, we will say creative miracles are
__________________________________.
2. Whenever you see creation in the scriptures, the Holy Spirit is always the
_____________________________________ part of the story.
3. Healing is a ____________________________________.
4. Miracles are when the ___________________________ ____________________ of
____________________ override the ___________________ _________________ of
____________________________________.
5. Miracles are ____________________________________.
6. Give two examples of signs and wonders: _________________________________
________________________________________________________________________
7. Signs and wonders are _____________________________ that are contrary to the
______________________________ of the ___________________________________.
8. Creative miracles and healings only happen when the Spirit of God _________
_______________________________________________________________________.
9. Elohim means the ___________________________________.
10. The first key to having faith for creative miracles is having revelation of the
power of ______________________________________.
11. The second key to having faith for creative miracles is having a revelation of
____________________________________ ___________________________ in you.
12. The first step to us being involved in ministering creative miracles is deciding
to be _____________________________________ no matter how foolish it seems.
Life Application:
9 The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you and that means
creative power is in you. How have you used your creative power lately? Ask
the Father how and when He wants you to use that power in you.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your daily life, so that you become more like Jesus in heart, mind and deed.
Prayer:
Lord, I want to live in a place of intimacy with You where I walk in Your glory and power.
Jesus, make me more like You in my passions, my mind and in my actions. I want to walk in the
anointing of Moses and of Elijah. Please help me to take my place of authority with You,
speaking Your Word and moving in powerful signs, wonders, healings and creative miracles just
like You. I ask that You would give me a greater revelation of Christ in me, through the Holy
Spirit, the source of all healing and creative miracles. Holy Spirit fill me up and saturate every
part of my being with You. Let my eyes see what You see, my ears hear what You hear, my lips
speak what You speak and my hands do what You do. From now on, let me live as a King and
ruler with Christ, a co‐worker in Your kingdom in word and deed. Now is the time. I ask these
things in Jesus’ powerful name. Amen.
LESSON EIGHT
FAITH TO RAISE THE DEAD
Key Bible Verse:
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die,
he shall live’” (John 11:25)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Identify two kinds of deaths we are called to restore life to.
9 Describe why God is never early and never late.
9 Identify what God requires of us to raise the dead.
1. Who are the Dead God has Called Us to Raise?
a. Those who have died physically (Matt. 10:8)
b. Those lacking purpose and hope (Prov. 29:18)
2. Seeing through Jesus’ eyes brings life (John 11:1‐15)
3. God Sees Only Possibilities (Matt. 19:26)
a. God makes dead ends into highways (Is. 35:3‐8)
b. Death is opportunity for life (John 11:15)
4. Jesus is Resurrection and Life (John 11:25)
5. Faith Lays Hold of the Promise Now! (Mark 11:24)
6. God is Never Early and Never late (Mark 5:21‐24, 35‐42)
7. Contend for Your Inheritance
a. Thanksgiving and Praise (Rom. 4:20)
b. Get excited when there is only death
8. Only Believe (Mark 5:36)
9. Nothing but Faith, Hope and Love (1 Cor. 13:13)
10. Abraham’s Faith brings Life (Rom. 4:17)
11. Your Miracle Begins in Your Spirit (Heb. 11:1)
12. Warring and Contending for Miracles (Heb. 11:6; 2 Kings 4:8‐37)
You need to see your miracle in your spirit before it will manifest. You need to see it as
finished. Abraham thought, “I already see Isaac killed, dead, and raised up. God ‘gives
life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did’. If I bring
him up there and kill him, God will resurrect him.” Like Abraham, we must see it in
our spirit. We must catch a vision and revelation of what Jesus has already done. We
must see ourselves healed.
When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He did not have to lay hands on the dead.
There was authority in the Word of God. What is dead? Maybe your faith is dead.
Maybe your relationship with God, your marriage, your children, your body, your
church or even your ministry is dead. See the situation and command resurrection
power to be released. Let your hope rise again and your faith be resurrected. Contend
for miracles as your vision is restored. See the power of His life come. He is the
Resurrection and Life!
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. Describe the two contexts of being dead.
2. Write out John 11:25.
3. It’s impossible to please God without ____________________________________.
4. The Lord said, “The child is not dead, but ________________________________.”
5. There is something in the heart of God that likes to move in the _____________.
To Him, that which is dead is an opportunity for __________________________.
6. Why was Jesus glad for their sakes?
7. Jesus groaned and wept in His spirit because of the state of _______________ of
His people.
8. What did Jesus say to Martha after raising Lazarus from the dead?
9. We may need to _______________ and _______________ until we see/experience
the resurrection.
10. God is never ______________________ but He is never ______________________.
11. Why doesn’t God come early?
12. __________________________________________ is known as the Father of Faith.
13. Write out Romans 4:17.
Life Application:
9 Are there any areas of your life that are dead and need Christ’s resurrection life?
List them.
9 Your miracle begins in your spirit. You need to see it. As you see it as done, it
will manifest. Begin to read God’s word about resurrection and until you see
your miracle happening.
9 God wants to bless you and answer your prayers in a far greater dimension than
you can even hope or imagine. Meditate on this truth, begin to rebuke death and
speak life into every situation of your life that God shows you.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to live each day as if today is my resurrection day. Help me to see my
circumstances the way You see them. God, move the imagination of my heart, above that which I
can imagine. I rebuke the spirit of death from those areas of my life You’ve shown me. I speak the
life of Christ into them. I refuse to listen to discouraging voices. Jesus, You are the resurrection
and the life; I believe You are releasing abundant life to me. As I lay hold of You, I believe You
make the impossible, possible. I ask that You would renew my vision and pour such abundant life
into me that I become a channel of resurrection life to others. Amen
LESSON NINE
HIDDEN PRAYER AND HEALING
Key Bible Verse:
“And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them
and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.” (Luke 9:10)
Lesson Objectives:
9 List the main purposes of prayer.
9 Describe the preparation Jesus received while in prayer.
9 Identify the key to dying and staying dead to self.
In this lesson, we’ll focus on the main purposes of prayer. Prayer prepares us to do
God’s will, it empowers us to do His works, it hides us behind the cross and it enables
us to stay in a place of death to self. Yes, it is very important that we receive revelation
and power from God to do what He has called us to do. However, it is even more
important that we remain hidden in Christ and dead to our old nature.
1. Prayer Prepares
a. Wisdom for decisions (Luke 6:12‐13)
b. Strength for trials (Matt. 26:35‐41)
c. Revelation of purpose (Luke 4:42,43; Acts 10:9‐20)
d. Revelation of what the Father is doing (John 5:19)
2. Prayer Empowers
a. The Disciples (Acts 1:13,14;2:1‐4)
b. Great Power (Acts 4:31‐33)
3. Prayer Hides
a. Jesus ministry model (John 6:2, 15)
* After great miracles
b. Jesus on the mountain (Matt. 14:23)
c. In the wilderness (Luke 5:15, 16)
d. Long before daylight (Mark 1:34, 35)
e. With the disciples (Luke 9:10)
Jesus withdrew from the multitudes, not because He wanted to pray to prepare for
power but because He wanted to hide from pride. Throughout the Gospels Jesus hides
Himself and prays not because He wants more power to do more miracles tomorrow
but because He knows if He hides by Himself after every great miracle, He’ll be right in
His heart and pure and free from the spirit of pride that wants to attack us in the midst
of great things.
4. Prayer Brings Death
Just as much as prayer prepares us for power, prayer kills us and it keeps us humble.
a. Jesus in the desert (Luke 4:1‐14)
b. Dying to earthly things (Col. 3:1‐3)
c. Dying to sin (Romans 6; Matt. 6:13)
d. The key to death (John 3:28‐30)
e. Biblical humility defined
Jesus understood the importance of staying dead to the pull of the world and hidden in
the Father. It is just as important for believers today to understand the hiddenness of
prayer, to remain humble in the midst of what God is doing. The devil is going to offer
us the world, a kingdom, reputation and a great big ministry. There is nothing wrong
with these things in themselves if our hearts remain in humble dependence on God.
Our hearts must be right in the midst of great power or we’ll be crushed. If you want to
stay hidden, you’ve got to stay dead. And if you’re going to stay dead, you have to stay
conscious of the revelation God gives us in Romans 6. As we remain in that place of
death to self, our reputation no longer matters. Now our only concern is bringing glory
and fame to our Father.
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. What are the four main purposes of prayer?
2. a. What did Jesus do after every great miracle?
b. Why did He do this?
3. Jesus withdrew from the multitudes, not because He wanted to pray for power
but because He wanted to hide from ______________________________________
4. What happened when Jesus went into the wilderness to fast and pray for 40
days?
5. What keeps you focused on your purpose? ________________________________
6. What will happen if you don’t have the purpose of God?
7. Fame, power and a big ministry are not a problem if we keep a watchful eye
on
8. Give one key that’s going to help you die and stay dead.
9. God said, the only way I can give you more is if you _______________ yourself.
10. The literal translation of Biblical humility is
11. Every time you set your mind on the things of the earth, you come out of
___________________. Every time you set your mind on things above you come
into ______________________.
12. When we are dead, we are not concerned about our ________________________.
We are only concerned about ____________________________________________.
Life Application:
9 Consider how often you make decisions with or without prayer?
9 After the great miracles Jesus ran away to be by Himself. What do you do?
9 Ask the Holy Spirit what He wants to convict you of and what He wants to begin
changing in you. Also, ask Him how he wants this lesson to transform your life
starting today.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I want You to possess me. I yield my whole life to You. Help me to live a crucified
life, dying daily to myself and to the world. Oh God, let the resurrection life of Christ manifest
through me. I ask you to forgive me for all wrong motives – pride and the desire to be recognized.
Hide me in Christ so people see Jesus and praise Your name. Father, I ask that You would use me
to bring healing and blessing to others, for Your glory alone. I surrender all to the name of Jesus.
Amen.
LESSON TEN
THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE
Key Bible Verse:
ʺBut the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the
word of wisdom, through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
… to another discerning of spirits…ʺ (1 Cor. 12:7,8,10)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Understand what the word of knowledge is and how it works with other gifts.
9 Give New Testament and Old Testament examples of this gift.
9 List various ways a word of knowledge can be received.
9 Know the process of delivering a word of knowledge.
1. A Revelatory Gift
2. Word of Knowledge Defined
ʺThis is the supernatural revelation of fact about a person or situation, which is not
learned through the efforts of the natural mind, but is a fragment of knowledge freely
given by God, disclosing the truth which the Spirit wishes to be made known
concerning a particular person or situationʺ (John Wimber, ʺVineyard Fellowships,ʺ
U.S.A.).
3. The Operation of the Word of Knowledge (1 Cor. 13:9)
4. New Testament Examples of the Word of Knowledge
a. Jesus in action (Luke 19:30,31)
b. A soul‐winning tool (John 4:4‐42)
c. Revelation of sin (Acts 5:1‐5)
d. Divine knowledge of direction (Acts 9:10‐16)
e. Warning of danger (Acts 22:17‐21)
f. For provision (Matt. 17:27)
5. Old Testament Examples of the Word of Knowledge
a. Warning for a king (2 Kings 6:8‐10)
b. Boat‐building instructions (Genesis 6:14‐22)
c. Unveiling of a lie (II Kings 5:20‐27)
d. Knowledge of a successor (1 Kings 19:15,16)
e. King’s anointing confirmed—16 words of knowledge ! (1 Sam 10:1‐16)
6. Preparing To Receive Words
a. Cleanse heart (Psalm 66:18; 1 John 1:9)
b. Earnestly desire (1 Cor. 14:1)
7. How You Can Receive Words Of Knowledge
a. Thoughts
b. Impressions or body impressions
c. Through Dreams (Acts 10:9‐16)
d. A vision (Acts 16:18)
e. The still small voice (1 Kings 19:12; 1 Sam. 9:15‐16)
f. Trance (Acts 11:4)
g. The word of God (John 14:26)
h. Angels (Acts 10: 30‐33)
8. Giving A Word Of Knowledge
Questions to ask first:
a. Is this for prayer only?
b. Should I share this with the local church leaders first?
c. Is this public or private information?
d. Will this bring edification to the individual and the church?
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. A word of knowledge is a definite conviction, _____________________________,
an inspired utterance of ______________________________.
2. List all three revelatory gifts and describe how at least two of them can operate
together.
3. Give two purposes of the word of knowledge in the New Testament (with
examples) and two purposes of the gift in the Old Testament (with examples).
4. List six of the eight ways to receive a word of knowledge.
5. To prepare to receive a word of knowledge, we need to _____________________
and ___________________ the gift. Before giving a word of knowledge, we need
to ask the Lord whether it’s for __________________________ only, whether it’s
____________________ or ___________________information, whether we should
share it with __________________ ________________ first and whether the word
will bring ________________________ to a person or to the church.
Life Application:
9 Ask the Lord to reveal to you any blockages in your life that are preventing you
from receiving words of knowledge. Then repent and make the changes that
need to be made.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to encourage you by reminding you of words of knowledge
He has already given you which you may not even have recognized at the time.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to help you desire and covet the word of knowledge more.
9 Now wait on the Lord, asking Him to give you words of knowledge beginning
now and then throughout your days for the purpose of personal direction,
edification of others, or soul winning.
Prayer:
Father, I ask that you would stir up a burning desire for spiritual gifts in me. I pray that You
would reveal to me Your great desire to give me spiritual gifts like the word of knowledge. Please
remove any obstacles in my life and enlarge my capacity to receive words of knowledge. Lord, I
ask that You would help me realize throughout my day when You are speaking to me words of
knowledge for the purpose of personal direction, edification of others or for soul winning. Let the
increase of revelation in my life produce a great, fruitful harvest of good works for Your
kingdom. Amen.
LETS DO IT!!!!!
LESSON ELEVEN
FREEDOM FROM SICKNESS AND DISEASE
Key Bible Verse:
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may
have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Recognize the difference between sickness and suffering
9 Recognize why we only get the “power” when our flesh gets out of the way
9 Identify where every sickness and disease comes from
9 Identify which books in the Bible we need to be meditating on related to healing
In Lesson One we talked about our inheritance from Jesus and the high price He paid
for us at Calvary. We also discussed the many gifts, in addition to spiritual salvation,
which Christ provided for us through His suffering. We honor Him by receiving
healing and His other gifts to us through active faith. In this lesson we will be looking at
our responsibility as Christians to walk in healings, miracles, signs and wonders. We
will also learn some of the basic principles and understandings we need to release these
gifts in our lives.
1. In the Beginning
a. Made in God’s image (Gen. 1:26‐27)
b. Sin enters (Gen. 3; Rom. 5:12‐14)
2. Jesus ‐ our Role Model
Luke 4:18 –
John 14:12 –
3. Return to the Great Commission
Mark 16:15‐18 –
Luke 9:1,2 –
4. Free From the Law of Sin and Death
Rom. 8:2‐11 –
5. Suffering versus Sickness
James 5:13‐15 –
Heb. 12:5‐11 –
6. Job’s Trials
Job 2:7; 3:25 –
7. Paul’s Thorn
2 Cor. 12:7‐10 –
Ú Other thorn references: Num. 33:54‐56; Rom. 8:26; 2 Cor. 11:23‐28
8. The Author of Sickness and Disease
Exodus 15:26 –
Acts 10:38 –
1 John 3:8 –
Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life, and life abundantly.” The devil has
come to kill, steal and destroy. Sickness, disease and death came into the earth through
sin in the Garden of Eden. The earth came under the curse of the law. We have been
redeemed from the curse of the law, but can choose to live in willful sin and rebellion
and, by that, remove ourselves from under His umbrella of grace. God opens the
history of the earth and begins without sickness, disease or death and ends it the same
way. Revelation 22 talks about a river, and leaves of the trees are for the healing of the
nations. In between the first and last chapter of biblical human history, Christ has made
provision for our healing. Let’s start living in this wonderful healing inheritance that
God is offering us today.
If we will read everything the Word says about healing, begin to rid ourselves of the
spirit of unbelief and ask God to help our unbelief, then we will begin to see the greater
works we are called to do.
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. _______________________ is our role model in the area of healing and miracles.
2. You were made in ______________’s image.
3. God gave you _______________________over the fish of the sea, over the birds
of the air, the cattle and over all the earth.
4. Genesis 2 talks about Life in God’s _______________________________________.
5. Genesis 3 talks about the ___________________ and _________________ of man.
6. _________________________ was the forerunner of sickness, disease and death.
7. Knowledge is the believer’s ____________________________ against the enemy.
8. If you want to get over unbelief, _________________ and _________________ on
the ______________ of God from the beginning to the end, on _______________.
9. Four text books for healing are ____________________, ______________________,
______________________, and ______________________.
10. You cannot separate forgiveness of sin and healing. True or False (circle the
correct response)
11. The word infirmities, in the Greek, means ________________________________.
12. Who walked in the fullness of the Gospels and boasted when he was weak?
________________________________________________________________________
Life Application:
9 When we boast in our weakness and know that we cannot do anything
ourselves, that is when we will have power. Can you describe a recent incident
where you boasted in your weakness? If not, what is getting in your way and the
way of you having power?
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your daily life, so that you become more like Jesus and begin, more fully, living
out His great commission.
Prayer:
Father God, I pray that You would help me to live humbly, recognizing nothing is possible
without You. With Your help, I will press in and boldly break all of Satan’s barriers causing me
to fear man. I determine to resist unbelief and act in faith. I am a believer, not a doubter. Help me
to grow in faith as I meditate on Your word. As Your Ambassador, I will pray and lay hands on
all those You bring my way, believing they will be healed because it is Your will. Thank You
that it’s just my job to pray and it’s Your job to do the healing. Through You Jesus, I will walk
in faith, power and love. Amen

LESSON TWELVE
THE ROOTS OF SICKNESS
Key Bible Verse:
“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Describe the connection between attitudes and issues of the heart and how they
can be connected to physical infirmity.
9 List various roots of sickness which come from the human heart.
In this lesson we’ll examine how physical sickness can be tied to various issues and
attitudes of the heart. We’ll discuss each root of sickness and look at how to remove
these heart hindrances and receive healing.
1. The Rooms of our Heart (Prov. 4:20‐22; 20:30; 23:7)
2. Keep Your Heart (Prov. 4:23; Prov. 14:30)
3. The Broken Spirit (Prov. 18:14)
4. Don’t Give Place to the Devil (Eph. 4:27)
5. What’s Inside Can Defile (Mark 7:20‐23)
6. Merry and Sorrowful Hearts (Prov. 12:25; 15:13,15; 17:22)
7. Pleasant Healing Words (Prov. 16:24)
8. Unpleasant Words (Prov. 18:8; 20,21)
* Gossip, Criticism or Speaking evil (Psalm 34:11,12; 1Pet. 3:10‐12)
9. Heart Problems
a. Unforgiveness (Matt. 18:21‐35)
b. Offense (Prov. 18:19; Matt. 5:23‐24)
c. Envy (Prov. 14:30)
d. Pride (2 Kings 5:9‐11)
e. Lust (Prov. 2:16‐19; Prov. 5:1‐14; Matt. 5:28)
f. Self‐hatred (Mark 12:33)
g. Rebellion (1 Sam. 15:23)
h. Not discerning the Lord’s body (1 Cor. 11:27‐30)
i. Greed (Prov. 1:19)
10. The Spirit that Searches the Heart (Prov. 20:27)
The devil takes advantage of every weakness. Many times we cannot receive our
healing because of a demonic stronghold. Our physical infirmity may begin as a natural
occurrence but then the devil reinforces our moment of pain with a stronghold. For
example, through a trauma or car accident, the devil can oppress in the weakness of the
moment with a spirit of fear or terror. When offended or hurt by a loved one, the devil
wants to oppress with anger and rage. When terrible situations of abuse take place, the
devil is looking to reinforce that area of pain with a stronghold. Years after the abuse we
may still relive the memory and struggle to give ourselves in trust or intimacy.
If we are going to see a greater release of healing in our bodies, we also need the healing
of life’s hurts and we need to discover the areas of weakness in our own life and repent
of the hindrances in our lives. Pray the fire of God exposes and burns every root of
sickness.
Reinforcement Helpers:
1. If the devil can break your ______________________________, he can also attack
you with sickness.
2. When the Lord goes deep into our heart to heal, He can also release us from
____________________________ and ______________________________________.
3. Many of the infirmities we see in the natural concerning sickness are
connected to the _______________________________ of our spirit.
4. Name at least five heart problems (attitudes) which can hinder healing or
cause sickness. _________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________
5. Your ___________________________________ is the seat of your emotions.
6. ______________________________________ is rottenness to the bones.
7. When someone’s heart is not joyful and sound, his or her _______________ or
________________________________, has been broken.
8. A sound heart is ____________________________________________ to the body.
9. __________________ and _____________________ are in the power of the tongue.
10. Someone who is a gossip is likely to end up with __________________________
disorders.
11. What happens to those living in unforgiveness, according to the parable in
Matthew 18?_____________________________________________
12. A soft answer turns away ____________________.
13. Lust is not just pornography, sex and looking at women. It is also the spirit of
______________________, ______________________ and ______________________.
14. The Bible says that as a man thinks in his _________________________ so is he.
Life Application:
9 Attitudes such as unforgiveness, offenses, jealousy, rebellion, lust, pride, and a
broken spirit are all avenues to the soul. Ask the Lord to reveal issues of your
heart that he wants to set you free from. Pray for forgiveness and ask others for
forgiveness, where appropriate.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your daily life, so that you become more like Jesus in spirit, soul and body.
9 Ask the Lord to show you how you can minister this heart healing to others.
Prayer:
Father, I ask that you would search the rooms of my heart for any conditions and attitudes that
are sinful and unhealthy. I want my inner life to be pleasing to you, so that I can be whole in
spirit, soul and body. Cleanse and heal me I pray. Help me to keep my heart clean for You and to
speak pleasant words that will bring healing to others. And Lord, as I walk in the wholeness You
have provided for me, please bring healing to the broken spirits of my family and others around
me – and use me as a channel of that healing I ask. Thank You Jesus that You are abundant life
and healing and that You live in me! Amen.

healing to me and to others. Make me a powerful source of healing for Your Glory, Oh Lord. I am
excited about us partnering together in this healing ministry. Thank You for such an awesome
privilege Father. Amen.
LESSON FOURTEEN
HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR HEALING
Key Bible Verse:
“Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it
empty, swept, and put in order.” (Matthew 12:44)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Understand the reasons why people lose their healing.
9 Discover the four principles of keeping your spiritual house in order.
9 Be able to list three keys to maintaining your healing.
We live in a fallen world where the devil wants to kill, steal and destroy. If he can’t
keep us sick, he would love to steal the precious gifts of healing God gives to us. This
lesson will explore some of the reasons Christians lose their healing. We will also
examine the scriptural keys God has given to help us maintain our healing.
Introduction: Why do people lose their healing?

which keys you need to use to maintain your healing or your divine health.
9 Emotional healing and inner healing are often part of maintaining your physical
healing. How will this understanding affect your prayer for someone’s physical
healing from now on?
PRAYER:
Father, You are so good, so powerful and so awesome. Forgive me for any ways I have not
appreciated Your blessings of healing, small and great, in my life and in others. Help me to
constantly rejoice and praise You for every good gift You give to me and to Your people. Forgive
me for any way in which I’ve been skeptical and doubted Your healing work until I could see it
with my natural eyes. Also, show me any areas of judgment, unforgiveness or ungodly beliefs
that You want to remove from me. Please cleanse me. I choose to cling to your covenant promises
regarding healing. I believe in Your great desire to heal all Your people. I choose to believe in
Your healing answers before I see them. Help me to guard against the lies of the enemy that
would hinder healing and to war against him by speaking out the powerful healing promises of
Your Word. Lord, let me be a holy vessel for You, filled with your Spirit and pouring out Your
healing blessing to the world. Amen.

Life Application:
9 As a Christian, you may have innocently become involved in some kind of
divination and control or witchcraft. Maybe you have called a psychic or read
your horoscopes. If this describes you, you need to repent for all involvement in
any form of divination or sorcery.
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how He wants you to apply this lesson to
your life and to show you how you can overcome any influence of the python
spirit now and in your daily life.
9 Read through the check list at the end of this lesson and pray the renunciation
prayer.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit come. I really want to live in Your presence so I can continue to become more like
You. I ask You to root out every hindrance to Your presence in my life and to Your life flowing
through me. Destroy every influence of the spirit of python on me, I pray. I ask for Your
forgiveness and cleansing from apathy, involvement with counterfeit supernatural influences
and for wavering in the vision and promises You have given to me. The spirit of python has no
authority in my life. I command it to loose hold of me. I recommit myself to walk out my calling
and to stand on Your promises. I resist all spiritual apathy. I ask that You would continue to
light my way and be my protector. Please strengthen my hands for war so that I can effectively

LESSON SIXTEEN
BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES
Key Bible Verse:
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written,
‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the

Lesson Sixteen – Breaking Generational Curses by Todd Bentley
Life Application:
9 Take some time to specifically go through the lists, asking the Lord to show you
areas of your life that may be under a curse. Then ask the Holy Spirit to reveal
the cause to you. Repent of anything that is revealed. Then begin to pray for God
to remove the effects of the curse/s, rebuking each one specifically.
9 Ask the Lord to reveal to you curses that family members or friends may be
under and then to show you how to pray for them.
9 Meditate on scriptures about God’s promises and begin to pray them out over
your life until you see them manifest.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You that You desire that I live in blessing. You sent Jesus to remove the curse of
sin and death and to give me grace and life. I pray that You would reveal to me, by Your Holy
Spirit, any areas where my life has come under a curse. Show me the origin and how to break the
curse in Jesus’ name. I want to repent from any areas that are displeasing to You and live a life of
faith, like Abraham, so that I can walk in Your blessings. I pray, like John, that I would prosper
and be in good health, as my soul prospers. And Lord, show me how I can help set others free
from the curse and put them on Your wonderful path of blessing. Amen.

Lesson Seventeen – The Deaf & Dumb Spirit by Todd Bentley
LESSON SEVENTEEN
THE DEAF & DUMB SPIRIT
Key Bible Verse:
“Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which has eyes to see but does not see,
and ears to hear but does not hear; for they are a rebellious house.” (Ezekiel 12:2)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Describe how the stronghold of unbelief and the deaf and dumb spirit operate
and how they work together.
9 Define what real faith is.
9 List the four ways to overcome the spirit of unbelief.
In this lesson we will examine how the stronghold of unbelief works with the deaf and
dumb spirit to make people spiritually and physically deaf and dumb so they cannot
hear the voice of God and receive revelation. This spirit is connected with many
spiritual and mental conditions that hinder people’s ability to hear and focus both
physically and spiritually. As a result of these demonic influences, as in Jesus’ day,
people have ears to hear, but cannot hear. However, today Jesus still heals and He can
heal us our spiritual spiritual senses to hear and see revelation from heaven.
1. Strategy of the Deaf & Dumb Spirit
a. Hinders revelation (Matt. 13:14,15)
b. Organized religion (2 Tim. 3:5)
c. Hearers not doers (Ez. 12:2; Heb. 3:7‐13, 5:14; James 1:22‐24)

d. Attacks faith
i. So you can’t please God (Heb. 11:6)
ii. He knows the power of faith (Mark 9:23)
iii. Hinders hearing (Rom. 10:17)
iv. Prevents healing (Matt. 13:58)
2. Unbelief Strengthens Deaf & Dumb Spirit (Mark 9:20‐25)
3. Root of Various Sicknesses and Diseases
4. Overcoming the Deaf & Dumb Spirit (Matt. 17:14‐20; Mk. 9:14‐27)
a. Fasting (Mark 9:29)

b. Understanding the difference between gifts and healing
c. Understanding real faith
i. It’s diligent (Heb. 11:6; Matt. 7:7 Amp.)
ii. It doesn’t give up (Luke 18:3‐8)
iii. It overcomes (Heb. 11:39)
iv. Saves the sick (James 5:15)
d. Identification and Repentance (Dan. 9:4‐19)
Pray for the present‐day Pharisees and Sadducees to have a true revelation of the
ministry of Jesus. In their ignorance, these religious leaders have confused the spiritual
climate by introducing many false doctrines of man. These doctrines tell us that God
doesn’t want to heal all the sick anymore, that miracles passed away two thousand
years ago and that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness. These doctrinal traditions are
mere theologies or denominational ideas that have a form of godliness but deny the
power of God. The result: the heavens over North America are so cluttered that God
FFM Presents – Healings, Miracles, Signs & Wonders Today – 101 105
Lesson Seventeen – The Deaf & Dumb Spirit by Todd Bentley
can only heal a few sick people. If we transform our hearts and minds with the truths
about God’s power, we can increase the level of healings and miracles in our city or
region. Then through corporate intercession and repentance, we can also change the
spiritual climate in North America.

2. The deaf and dumb spirit is connected to ______________________ disabilities.

8. If we can get rid of unbelief in our own hearts, we can increase the level of
miracles in our city and region. True or False (circle the correct response)
Life Application:
9 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any areas of unbelief you need to repent of.
9 Remember, faith comes by hearing the word of God and His promises
continually. Are you faithful in your prayer life and in meditating on God’s
Word? If not, read Proverbs 4:20‐22 and Romans 10:17 and ask the Lord how He
wants you to grow in this area.
9 Ask the Lord to remind you of any prayers you’ve given up praying and any
promises you’ve stopped believing for. Ask Him to help you to persist in faith
until you see the answer. Make a list and begin contending and warring for the
answers.
Prayer:
Lord, I stand in the gap and ask You to forgive us, as Your people in this city, for walking in
unbelief and holding to doctrines of man which have strengthened the deaf and dumb spirit.
Please forgive us for holding to a form of godliness but denying Your awesome power by our
beliefs, words and actions. I ask that You would cleanse us and release us from the demonic
chains that have hindered Your supernatural power operating in our city. I pray for new
beginnings for us, that we would come to know You in Your fullness. Holy Spirit come and fill
my heart with love, compassion and unwavering, faith‐filled prayer. Let me stand for the
promises You have spoken to me and continue to pray for those who are bound in my city. As I
ask these things in Jesus’ name, I say, “I believe”! Amen.

Lesson Eighteen – Dunamis Power by Todd Bentley
LESSON EIGHTEEN
DUNAMIS POWER
Key Bible Verse:
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be
witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts
1:8)
Lesson Objectives:
9 Discover how healing anointing and Dunamis power are the same.
9 Describe the difference between authority and power.
Dunamis power, the subject of this lesson, is what everyone wants but few are willing
to pay the price for. Dunamis, a Greek word meaning miraculous power, requires much
of us and of our faithfulness to the Lord. Consequently, this lesson will examine this
biblical term in great detail and show how we as believers can walk in this power and
in His authority.
Strong’s Concordance Definition: 1411. dunamis, doo½ –nam‐is; from 1410; force (lit.
or fig.); spec. miraculous power (usually by impl. A miracle itself):‐‐ability, abundance,
meaning, might (‐ily, ‐y, ‐y deed), (worker of) miracle (‐s), power, strength, violence,
mighty (wonderful) work.

8. What Does Dunamis Look Like? (Acts 5:15, 16)
9. For You and Your Children (Acts 2:39)
10. The Primary Call for All Believers (Matt. 10:8)
God wants you to operate in authority. Do you know why the body of Christ doesn’t
move in miracles, signs and wonders? It’s waiting for Dunamis. But do you know
what? Dunamis won’t come until you are faithful with authority. Until you take the
talent of what God has already given to you and you invest that talent because you
want Him to give you five talents. And I’ll tell you what. I was faithful. With nothing
but faith, raw faith, I took that raw faith, my one talent and I didn’t go bury it and hide
it. I meet people all over the world in the body of Christ that talk about the healing
anointing they have, the call of God that has come over their life to heal the sick. And I
say, “What are you waiting for? How come you’re not in the hospitals? Why aren’t you
exercising, birthing, nurturing and maturing what God’s given you?”
We are too experience oriented. The experience will come. The anointing will come. But
when there is nothing else, there is authority. And God always rewards authority. He
always blesses as you are faithful to invest, multiply, contend and pray for people, and
keep praying for people until you begin to see great things!

Life Application:
9 God has commissioned every believer to take His healing and miracle‐working
power to others. Describe how you are using His power.
9 Ask the Lord to show you any hindrances to His power flowing through your
life.
9 Walking in God’s Dunamis power is a learning process. The steps in this process

power. At which step in the process are you?
9 Now let the Lord show you specifically how He wants you to be faithful with the
authority He has given you.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You that You have made provision for me to walk in your Dunamis power. You
have commissioned me to walk in authority and to take Your healing and miracle power to needy
people. I ask for Your forgiveness for waiting for some special experience and not being fully
faithful to walk out the authority You have given me. Let me be so compelled by Jesus’ love that I
will have to do His works. Help me to walk by faith birthing, nurturing and maturing Your
commission to me until I see the Dunamis power of God released through my life more and more.

APPENDIX 2 MINISTRY TEAM GUIDELINES FRESH FIRE MINISTRIES
APPENDIX #2:
MINISTRY TEAM GUIDELINES
Purpose of the Ministry Team:
9 To facilitate the move of the Holy Spirit under the direction of the appointed
leader of the meeting.
9 To serve those who have come for prayer and to provide safe ministry.
9 To release the love of God and the comfort and power of the Holy Spirit.
9 To bless, strengthen, encourage and comfort—not to rebuke or correct.
1. First Things First: Ministry to The Lord
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it
abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you
are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for
apart from Me you can do nothing. (Jn.15:4‐8)
In order to effectively minister to others, we need to first minister to the Lord. It’s
important to cultivate a lifestyle of intimacy, worship and prayer. As we minister to the
Lord, He will give us everything we need to minister to others.
2. A Prepared Lifestyle
A. Pure Heart
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm
51:10)
Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts;
and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way
(Psalm 139:23,24)
FFM Presents – Healings, Miracles, Signs & Wonders Today – 101 126
APPENDIX 2 MINISTRY TEAM GUIDELINES FRESH FIRE MINISTRIES
9 Ask the Lord to continually search your heart
9 Live with a heart free from unforgiveness and bitterness
9 As a lifestyle, walk in repentance from sin
9 Walk in love
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also
loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant
aroma. (Eph. 5:1‐2)
B. Daily Lifestyle of Praise & Worship
Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among
the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders. Glory in
His holy name; let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad. Seek the Lord
and His strength; seek His face continually. (Psalm 105: 1‐4)
C. Consistent Prayer Life
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s
will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thess. 5: 16, 17)
i. Waiting on the Lord in Prayer
I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope. (Psalm
130:5)
My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchman for the morning;
indeed, more than the watchman for the morning. (Psalm 46:10)
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks
Him. It is good that he waits silently for the salvation of the Lord. (Lam.
3:25, 26)
ii. Praying in the Holy Spirit (in tongues)
But you, beloved, building yourself up on your most holy faith; praying in
the Holy Spirit. (Jude 1:20)

(Eph. 6:18)
Clothe yourself in the full armor of God. (Eph. 6:11‐18)
Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. (2 Cor. 10:5)
D. Continual Filling With The Holy Spirit
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the
Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
and making melody with your heart to the Lord… (Eph. 5:18‐20)

pray the way He leads you. He may lead you to pray any of the way’s we
suggest, or He may give you some creative insight into the situation which you
need to pray into.
1. Find out the person’s name
2. Ask Holy Spirit to come. Simply say…. “Holy Spirit, come in Your healing
power.”
3. Touch the person lightly on the head or shoulder.
4. Wait on Holy Spirit. Explain to the person that you are going to wait for a few
minutes on Him.
5. If the person begins to feel heat, electricity, tingling or other manifestations,
continue to wait on God until you feel like He is finished what He’s doing.
6. Check to see if healing is complete by asking the person to check his/her body
or to try to do something he/she couldn’t do before. If the healing is not fully
manifested, continue to minister as the Spirit leads you.
7. If the Lord shows you that there is something in the person’s life that is
hindering the healing, take the time to minister into that before continuing
with healing prayers.
8. Some examples may be: Unforgiveness, bitterness, anger or resentment
toward another person, themselves or God.
9. Ask the person to confess any sin and then ask God for forgiveness
10. If you sense the person needs deliverance from a spirit that is responsible for
the sickness or infirmity, command the demon to leave. Always pray or
command in the name of Jesus. There is power in His name!
11. Continue to pray with short prayers and commands as you are led by Holy
Spirit.
12. Frequently stop and ask them what is happening. Are you feeling anything?
How is the pain now? Try moving that part of your body now.
13. Be persistent when praying for the sick. If you pray for a person and nothing
appears to have happened, encourage him/her to stay and let you continue to
pray for them.
14. If the person reports that the pain has increased or moved to another part of
the body, it’s possible that you are dealing with a demonic spirit. Simply
command the spirit to leave in the name of Jesus.
15. Many times people will come up for prayer for physical healing and God will
show you that they have a need for emotional healing as well. Take the time
to pray for their inner healing. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Pray for
the healing of hurts and wounds that have occurred in their life. God wants to
make that person whole in all areas of their life… body, soul and spirit.
16. Be sure to thank God for whatever He does.
FFM Presents – Healings, Miracles, Signs & Wonders Today – 101 130
APPENDIX 2 MINISTRY TEAM GUIDELINES FRESH FIRE MINISTRIES
17. Never tell a person that he or she has been healed. It’s up to them to tell you if
they believe they have been healed. The woman with the issue of blood in
Mark 5:29 felt in her body that she was healed in her affliction. No one had to
tell her she was healed because she knew that she was healed.
18. Remember, healing is gradual and miracles are instant. Sometimes healing
will come in stages as you continue to pray for people. At other times people
may come home with no visible sign of healing, even after repeated prayer
ministry.
19. Do not be upset with God people do not appear to be healed. Our job is to
pray for them. It is God’s responsibility to heal them.
iv. Post Ministry Direction:
1. Encourage people who have received prayer for to continue to thank the Lord
what He has done.
2. If the healing is not manifest completely, don’t accuse people of lack of faith.
Sometimes healing is progressive; encourage them to come back again for
more prayer after the next meeting.
3. Ask the Lord to give you a scripture or a word of encouragement and
exhortation for the person.
4. It’s important to tell people you are praying for, that often spiritual attacks
will follow a physical healing. If a symptom starts to recur, they can
command it to leave in Jesus name.
B. Prayers of Need
Find out what the person needs and pray for the needs to be met.
C. Spontaneous Prayers
Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you.
D. Specific Prayers Directed by the Speaker
For example: If the speaker gives an altar call for people to come forward who
need to be healed of deafness, it is important for the ministry team to pray only
FFM Presents – Healings, Miracles, Signs & Wonders Today – 101 131
APPENDIX 2 MINISTRY TEAM GUIDELINES FRESH FIRE MINISTRIES
for that specific need. As they respond in faith, the anointing will be there to set
them free. It is our responsibility to cooperate with the Holy Spirit.
E. Prayers of Blessing and Biblical Prayers
God is the source of all blessings. If you are not getting anything specific to pray
for an individual and they are not asking for a need to be met, you can pray
blessings over them or biblical prayers such as these:
9 “Lord, Bless my brother or sister with Your Healing Presence.”
9 “Come Holy Spirit, You are the Healer”
9 “More of the Father’s love.”
9 “Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”
9 “Release Your power that heals all manner of sickness”
9 “Fill them with Your glory.”
F. Sample Prayer: (i.e. Person with cancer of the liver)
Holy Spirit, You are the Healer. I thank you Holy Spirit for your Presence around John.
You are the same yesterday, today and forever. Lord I pray that you would touch his liver
right now. Release Your healing power into that liver now. In the name of Jesus, I
command every cancer cell to shrivel and die. Let Your fire come on that cancer and burn
it up. I pray for the growth of new healthy cells and tissue. In the name of Jesus, I break
the power of the generational curse of cancer and premature death. I revoke that curse in
the name of Jesus. I command the spirit of death to loose him in Jesus name. I speak the
life of Christ into his body. Lord strengthen him in his physical body. Fill him to
overflowing with Your Presence. Amen
5. Prayer Guidelines
A. Show love and compassion to those you are ministering to.
B. Before laying hands on people, ask their permission.
C. Take time to minister to each person and show them that you care for their
personal needs.
D. Trust in the Lord to lead, guide and direct as you minister to every person.
No two people will be alike.
FFM Presents – Healings, Miracles, Signs & Wonders Today – 101 132
APPENDIX 2 MINISTRY TEAM GUIDELINES FRESH FIRE MINISTRIES
E. Pay close attention to what the Holy Spirit is doing and watch the person’s
response to what you are praying. If the person is being touched by the Lord,
continue praying along the same lines until you feel the Lord is finished what
He is doing.
F. Pray with your physical and spiritual eyes open.
G. Ask the Father to show you what He is doing. Jesus only did those things He
saw the Father doing.
H. When laying hands on people, lightly touch them on the head, shoulders or
hands. No touching inappropriately. If you feel led to lay hands on another
part of their body, ask them to place their hands on that part and then place
your hand over theirs.
I. Make sure that you have a catcher with you when you minister.
J. When a person falls in the Spirit, keep praying for them even after they go
down until you feel the prayer ministry is completed. God continues to work
in people even when they are down on the floor.
K. Don’t be afraid to say “I don’t know” in response to their questions. ex. Why
hasn’t God healed me?
L. In the case of deliverance, if there are manifestations at the altar, the spirit
should be quieted and the person taken to another area for more ministry.
M. In some cases, when applicable, you may be asked to wear badges or name
tags identifying you as part of the ministry team.
N. If, while you are ministering, you sense that someone is not born again, make
sure that you lead them to Christ. Sometime during the ministry, you may
want to make a point of asking them whether they know Jesus as their Savior.
6. Things to Avoid
A. Pushing people over! This may offend people and cause them to be resistant
to the real manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
B. Asking a lot of questions. God will show you what you need to know as you
minister.
C. Unnecessarily talking to others close to where people are being ministered to.
D. Speaking loudly while praying. Be careful not to expose what God is doing in
people you are praying for. If you want to ask a question of a personal nature
or share something that God has shown you, gently whisper in their ear.
E. Counseling sessions. Keep the ministry time simple unless God is clearly
directing you to do deep ministry.
F. Ministering to someone who does not want to be ministered to.
G. Personal manifestations or loud yelling.

APPENDIX 2 MINISTRY TEAM GUIDELINES FRESH FIRE MINISTRIES
9 Stay in the peace and the rest of God. (Phil. 4:6,7)
9 Keep yourself in faith by praying in the Spirit (in tongues). (Jude 20)
9 Cover yourself and your family in prayer with the blood of Jesus.
9 Maintain unity in relationships in all areas of your life.
9 Walk in discernment, recognizing that your adversary, the devil, comes to
accuse, condemn and bring guilt.
The moment you become born again, you are part of the army of God. As you step out
in ministry, you engage in spiritual warfare. The enemy does not like the idea of you
setting his captives free and will often launch counter attacks against you or your
family. These counter attacks can come as sickness, oppression, accidents, and
relationship problems at home or with family members.
Be aware of the enemy’s schemes and walk in your authority in Christ to destroy
Satan’s works through faith and prayer. If you find you are experiencing some form of
counter attack, call for another ministry team member or trusted friend to pray for you.
We’re all in this together.
9. Serving On A Ministry Team
A. Unity: this a key factor in the effectiveness of a ministry team and team
leaders.
Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity! It is like
the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron’s
beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon,
coming down upon the mountain of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the
blessing‐life forevermore. (Psalm 133)
One of the ways the enemy tries to attack is through relationships. As we
purpose in our hearts to be in unity, the enemy’s plans of bringing in strife and
division will be spoiled.
B. Expectations: team members will be expected to…
9 minister within the guidelines established by the leadership of the meeting
9 attend pre‐service prayer meetings (usually 1 hour before the meeting)
9 submit cheerfully to the leadership of the meeting

10. Catchers
Catchers are an important part of Holy Spirit ministry. It allows people to relax
and receive without the fear of falling and hurting themselves. Catchers also help
to keep order during ministry time especially if there is a lot of people needing
prayer. For those wanting to join the ministry team, being a catcher is a good
opportunity to observe and learn more about prayer ministry. Remember to
honor and appreciate your catcher. Without them we cannot safely and properly
minister. Guidelines for catchers:
9 The catcher is not to get involved with the ministry or prayer process other
than by agreement in his heart.
9 When you first arrive behind someone, lightly touch their back to let them
know that there is someone standing behind them.
9 Stay alert and watchful of the person being prayed for as well as those
around you.
9 Make sure there is enough room for the person to fall. If there isn’t enough
room, move them to a better place.
9 Have one foot slightly in front of the other, with knees bent so you are well
balanced. As the person begins to fall, attempt to move back with the person,
allowing your hands to move up the person’s back as he falls.
9 Request assistance if the person’s weight or size is too much for you
9 Be watchful for people that may fall forward or sideways.
9 Make sure that the person you are catching does not fall on another person
that is down on the floor.
9 Use altar cloths to cover people if available.
9 Take time to pray for your catcher at the end of the evening.
