Nisaa African Family Services

Nisaa African Family Services is a culturally


specific organization serving victims/
survivors of domestic abuse, sexual
assault, sex and labor trafficking, and
homicide in African immigrant and
refugee populations across Iowa. Nisaa’s advocates are multilingual
and bicultural; they speak several African languages, including
French, and the organization’s services are free, confidential and
survivor-centered. Nisaa advocates for victims at different systemic
levels, and its services include crisis advocacy; support groups; legal
and court assistance; help with housing, healthcare, education,
employment and government benefit applications; information and COMMUNITY RESOURCES

victims/survivors of human trafficking. Their goal is
