KESEJAHTERAAN DIRI MUALAF (MKDM) TERHADAP


KESEJAHTERAAN DIRI DI SELANGOR

ABSTRAK

Aspek kesejahteraan diri mualaf berkait rapat dengan masalah pertukaran agama
terutama faktor persepsi diri mualaf, emosi, kewangan, pendidikan agama, hubungan
kekeluargaan dan masyarakat. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti masalah
persepsi dan hubungan yang menganggu kesejahteraan diri mualaf. Kajian ini juga
melihat keberkesanan modul kesejahteraan diri mualaf untuk meningkatkan tahap
kesejahteraan diri kalangan mualaf di Selangor. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk
gabungan kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang melibatkan dua fasa. Fasa pertama ialah kajian
kes yang menggunakan kaedah temu bual. Fasa kedua melibatkan penggunaan kaedah
kuasi-eksperimen yang melibatkan seramai 30 orang subjek bagi kumpulan kawalan
dan 30 orang subjek kumpulan eksperimen. Ujian kesejahteraan diukur menggunakan
instrumen The Five Factor Wellness Evaluation of Lifestyle (5F-WEL) yang diterjemah
ke bahasa Melayu. Data kualitatif dari fasa pertama telah dianalisis menggunakan
perisian NVivo 10. Ujian T telah digunakan dalam fasa ke dua untuk menganalisis data
kuantitatif. Terdapat lima faktor, 10 Tema persepsi kesejahteraan diri mualaf dan 36
subtema yang diperoleh daripada data kualitatif. Data yang diperolehi juga
menunjukkan bahawa kesejahteraan diri mualaf wujud apabila segala keperluan
kehidupan mereka dipenuhi serta diterima oleh keluarga dan masyarakat. Masalah
utama yang dikenal pasti ialah masalah kerjaya, kewangan, hubungan dengan keluarga
dan rakan, tempat tinggal dan ancaman keselamatan. Dapatan juga menunjukkan
bahawa wujud perbezaan yang signifikan terhadap tahap kesejahteraan diri mualaf bagi
kumpulan kawalan dan eksperimen. Modul yang digunakan didapati memberi kesan
peningkatan terhadap tahap kesejahteraan diri mualaf. Dapatan kajian merusmuskan
Modul Kesejahteraan Diri Mualaf patut diguna pakai oleh pengendali golongan mualaf,
kaunselor, pembimbing dan pendakwah untuk membantu mualaf menyelesaikan
masalah dalaman
THE EFFECT OF GROUP COUNSELING USING THE MODUL
KESEJAHTERAAN DIRI MUALAF (MKDM) ON THE
WELLNESS OF MUALAF IN SELANGOR

ABSTRACT

The wellness aspect of the mualaf is closely related problems faced by the mualaf from
the religious conversion, especially pertaining to self-perceptions held by the mualaf,
emotions, financials, religious education, relationships with families and society. This
research aimed at identifying the problematic perceptions and relationships that affect
the wellness of the mualaf. This research examined the effectiveness of education
wellness module to elevate the wellness of mualaf groups in Selangor. This research
employed a mix method approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods,
involving two phases. The first phase is a case study using interviews as data collection
methods. The second phase used a quasi-experimental study involving 30 mualaf as
control group and 30 as experimental group. The wellness test was carried out using
The Five Factor Wellness Evaluation of Lifestyle (5F-WEL) instrument that was
translated to Malay language. Data from the first phase was analysed using NVivo 10
software application. Data from second phase was analysed using descriptive statistics,
T-test. From the qualitative data was found to be parallel to the five factors, 10 themes
and 36 subthemes. The results obtained showed that the wellness of the mualaf is
elevated once all their living essentials were met as well as having their lives being
accepted by their family and the society. The main problems identified were; their
career, finance, relationship with family and friends, place of stay and threat to their
safety. The research found a significant difference in the wellness of the mualaf between
the control and experimental groups. The module was also found significantly
contribute in elevating the wellness of the mualaf. The result of concluded that the
Mualaf Wellness Module should be used as a tool by individuals that manage mualaf
groups, counsellors, coaches and missionaries to help mualaf groups solve internal
issues..
