5. Disconnect connector P0051 from the SECM.
6. To check the Feedback Potentiometer, measure the
resistance between pins A-B and between pins B-C of
connector P0051.
INITIAL EVALUATION
A. On the overhead circuit panel, make sure that the following
circuit breakers are closed:
– AIR/GND A (Location Tip: DC BUS 1/LDG GEAR/AIR/GND A);
– AIR/GND B (Location Tip: ESSENTIAL DC BUS 1/
LDG GEAR/AIR/GND B);
– AIR/GND C (Location Tip: DC BUS 2/LDG GEAR/AIR/GND C);

AIR/GND D).
PROBABLE CAUSES
A. Failure of two MLG WOW proximity switch assemblies, not
necessarily located on the same MLG leg.
B. LGEU failure.
QUICK CHECKS
A. Using the laptop, download the CMC (AMM 45-45-00-970-802-A).
B. Look for the messages “LG AIR/GND – LGEU FAIL” and “LG
AIR/GND – PROX SW FAIL” on the download of the CMC.
1. If these messages appear at the same CMC download at the
same time, disregard the message “LG AIR/GND – LGEU FAIL”
and do the troubleshooting according to the steps C thru K.
2. If only the message “LG AIR/GND – LGEU FAIL” appears at
the CMC download, check the contact of the LGEU
connectors and, if necessary, replace the LGEU.

GENERAL TIPS
A. When troubleshooting the system with a CMC download, make
sure that the associated circuit breakers were not opened earlier.
Every time the AIR/GND A, B, C or D circuit breakers, located
on the circuit breaker panel are opened, CMC messages are
generated and should not be considered for troubleshooting
purposes.
B. NOTE: Reset the CMC after the troubleshooting and change
the CMC switch on the maintenance panel to the “ENABLE”
position.
When checking the harness, remember to check all the
connectors.
Make sure that the connectors are well attached to avoid bad
contact.
To guarantee that these connectors are not with bad contact,
shake the harness and check if there is no related message on
the EICAS or on the CMC.
If some message appears when the harness is shaken, check
this harness for continuity and check also the connectors.

BLD APU LEAK MESSAGE
Do as follows:
A. Start the APU (TASK 49-10-00-910-802-A).
B. Do an inspection on the joints numbered 28 and 30 in the tail
cone (rear APU compartment). Refer to TASK 36-11-09-200-
803-A (Air-Bleed Lines – Leak Inspection).
C. Do an inspection on the joint numbered 26 in the rear electronic
compartment. Refer to figure (AMM MPP 36-11-09/6).
1. If any leak is found, eliminate it (AMM MPP 36-11-09/401).
2. If the message comes into view on the EICAS again, go to
the FIM manual and do TASK 36-20-00-810-803-A.

QUICK CHECKS
A. To adjust the rollers:
1. Move the roller upward or downward, as necessary for the
roller to enter freely into the track.
B. To adjust the upper/lower lateral guides:
1. Check the gap of the door (Airstairs Door: AMM TASK 52-
10-01-820-807-A; Side-Hinged Door: AMM TASK 52-18-00-
820-806-A).
2. If the gap is not correct, adjust the gap first and then, tighten
the upper/lower lateral guide seats to compress the rubber
spacer and get the right tolerance (Airstairs Door: AMM
TASK 52-10-01-820-807-A; Side-Hinged Door: AMM TASK
52-18-00-820-806-A).
C. To prevent the stops from hitting the stop seats (Side-Hinged
Door):
1. Raise the door by removing washers from above and
installing them under the arm fitting (Side-Hinged Door:
AMM TASK 52-18-00-820-806-A).
2. Make sure the gap of the door is in the tolerance (AMM
TASK 52-18-00-820-806-A).
