Promotion to USM: Directly Introduced Agents (DIA)


1. Only Agents introduced directly / personally will be counted as DIA for an
applicant applying for promotion to USM. Agents introduced by another
Introduced Agent will not be counted. EXAMPLE…..
When Agt 1 applies for promotion, only Agt 2

Promotion to USM: Directly Introduced Agents (DIA)


2. The Introducer relinquishes an Introduced Agent when an introduced agent
is promoted before the introducer is promoted. The promoted introduced
agent will not be counted as introduced agent when the introducer applies for
promotion. This does not apply when both the introducer and introduced
agents are promoted on the same effective date.

2013, Agent 2 will not be counted as DIA for

Promotion to USM: Directly Introduced Agents (DIA)


Important Note :
a) Only Agents introduced directly / personally when the Introducer is holding the
rank of Agent/CA/LIA will be counted as Introduced Agents for an applicant
applying for promotion to USM.
Example : A (Agent) was recruited by B (USM) in year 2004. When B
demoted to Agent in 2007 and if B wants to be promoted to USM
again in 2012, A will not be counted as Introduced Agent for B.

b) The Introducer relinquishes his “Introducer role” once he is promoted to USM

Example: A (Agent) was introduced by Agent B in year 2004 when B was


holding the rank of Agent. B was promoted to USM in 2005 and demoted to
Agent in 2007 and if B wants to be promoted to USM again in 2012, A will not
be counted as Introduced Agent for B.

Qualified DUSM- is a USM reporting directly to the USM working for his promotion and who has
met the minimum maintenance requirements in the qualifying year
e.g to be a qualifying DUSM for 2015, the DUSM must have met the min production, PR,
manpower and CPD for 2015.

Promotion: USM to GSM: Direct USMs
1. Only USMs promoted from the direct unit of a USM will be counted as DUSM for a
USM applying for promotion to GSM. USMs not promoted from the DU of a USM or not
directly reporting to the USM will not be counted I.e the USM applying for promotion must
be the immediate officer for the DUSM. EXAMPLE….

2. USMs promoted from the direct unit of a USM at the same effective date as the USM
promoted to GSM will be counted as DUSM for the USM applying for promotion to GSM.

Important Note:
The Agents introduced direct/indirectly by the Agent promoted to Direct USM at the
same time, shall not be used as QA by the USM working for his promotion to GSM.
Example: USM1
USM1 is working for his promotion to GSM effective 1.1.2013. He already has 1 Direct USM: USM2.

USM1 and A1 have successfully applied for promotion to GSM and USM effective 1.1.2013
USM1 can count USM2 (provided he meets the QUSM requirements) and A1 as his Qualified DUSM (provided he
qualifies to be promoted to USM).
However, USM1 cannot count as QA the Agents introduced (both direct & indirect) by A1 as they would be
transferred to the A1 upon his promotion.

USM1 may use A6, A8, A10, A7 or A9 as his QAs (provided they meet the QA requirements) for his promotion to
GSM.
A1 may use A2, A3, A4 & A5 as his QAs (provided they meet the QA requirements) for his promotion to USM.
Upon A1’s promotion to USM, both direct and indirect agents i.e A2, A3, A4, A5 & A11 would be transferred to A1

2) This rule will only apply on condition in the year that the CA fails to meet the required quota , the

2012 : Secured 40K and PR 80% (qualified to use 2 consecutive year rule)
2013 : Secured 75K and PR 85% (met requirements for 2013)
2014 : Secured 30K and PR 85% (did not qualify to use 2 consecutive year rule and will
be demoted 1.1.2015)
MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENT: CA

CONDITION TO BE ALLOWED TO USE 2 YEARS RULE…

Failure to meet requirements for 2 consecutive years will result in demotion.


This rule will only apply on condition in the year that the CA fails to meet
the required quota , the CA must achieve at least RM 40K failing which he
will be demoted.

2013 : Secured 125K and PR 85% (met requirements for 2012)
2014 : Secured 40K and PR 85% (did not qualify to use 2 consecutive year rule and
will be demoted 1.1.2015)

( ii ) For those who failed to attend the the post-promotion training in the year of promotion (Year 1) are
required to complete the said training in the following year (Year 2 ), failing which shall result in demotion
in Year 3
2) Failure to meet requirements for 2 consecutive years will result in demotion.

PROMOTION & MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENT:

Qualifying Agents (QA) for promotion & maintenance


QA –are agents with an inforce contract as at 31st Dec of the year
concerned and having fulfilled:
2015 - ( a ) RM18,000 or ( b ) RM12,000 + 6 regular premium ILP NOC

2016 onwards - RM18,000

Important Note:
a USM or a GSM shall not count himself as a QA except
when qualified under the half quota as explained in the
following slides
MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENT:

HALF QUOTA: PRODUCTION AND MANPOWER

All those who have qualified or will be qualifying in the


future will be required using the “old” maintenance quota
& manpower per the 2006 requirements.

Qualifying criteria for half quota remains the same


MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES:
CLARIFICATION
Maintenance : Half Quota Qualifiers
For the waiver of Manpower –Qualifying Agent requirements:-

• Manpower for USM shall be 2 ((USM himself/herself plus 1 direct agent or CA)
• Manpower for GSM shall be 4 (GSM himself/herself plus 3 agents which may be
direct agents or direct CAs and USM and USM’s group).

To be counted as manpower, the agent must be a Qualifying Agent. To be a


Qualifying Agent, the Agent must be in force as at end of respective year e.g
31/12/2012 and have met RM18,000 or 12,000 + 6 regular premium ILP NOC
on a calendar year basis. This includes the USM/GSM himself/herself who
decides be included as one of the manpower count.
MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES

Maintenance : Half Quota for CA


CAs: for those who qualify and apply for 50% waiver for production quota, the
production requirements shall be as follows:
Option I: production without NOC:
½ of RM 60,000 per annum i.e RM 30,000 per annum.
All other maintenance requirements remain status quo
Failure to meet maintenance requirements in 2 consecutive years will result in

the required production quota, the CA must achieve at least a minimum of
RM18,000.

Option II: production with NOC


½ of RM 40,000 + 24 NOC per annum i.e RM 20,000 +12 NOC per annum,

Failure to meet maintenance requirements in 2 consecutive years will result in
demotion. This rule will only apply on condition in the year that the CA fails to meet
the required production quota, the CA must achieve at least a minimum of
RM12,000 + 6 NOC.

MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES
Maintenance : Half Quota for LIA
LIAs who qualify and apply for 50% waiver for production quota, the
production requirements shall be as follows:

½ of RM 125,000 per annum i.e RM 62,500 per annum.

All other maintenance requirements remain status quo


Failure to meet maintenance requirements in 2 consecutive years will result
in demotion. This rule will only apply on condition in the year that the LIA fails
to meet the required production quota, the LIA must achieve at least a
minimum of RM25,000
Important note:
Management reserves the right to increase the minimum amount to be met in the year the CA/LIA
does not meet maintenance production requirement if the prevailing maintenance production
requirement for Agent rank is higher than that mentioned above.
