Crossings from Pastor Denise,

Happy New Year! Blessings to all at Peace Lutheran and your families near
and far.
My contract is officially finished with Peace Lutheran. However, if needed I
have agreed to be back “February-May.”
I would like to say that I have been completely happy with my interim at
Peace. Everyone is so agreeable all the time its been a pleasure to serve your
church the last four months. I think we have grown together! When I suggest
something or ask for something I receive double. For example, glass jars to serve
as luminaries for Christmas Eve. I was hoping for 20 jars and I think it was close
to 60 that we put candles in for along the driveway. It was beautiful.
In addition, when there has been a meal served for Thanksgiving time or
Christmas the number of people who have offered to help and who have actually
helped has been wonderful. My family and I have felt truly blessed by the cooper-
ation and willingness on the part of members to help serve their church communi-
ty.
Furthermore, the Hanging of the Greens service at church is another good ex-
ample of what can be accomplished when people are willing to put their talent and
time toward making a project come to life.
Thank you all for your help, suggestions, and willingness to serve your com-
munity.
I’m getting to know you and it has been fun to talk with you and learn your
faith stories. I’m a story teller and there is so much out there that has happened to
all of you that you know beyond a doubt that God truly exists. Keep the stories
coming. I will put them to use with your permission.
So, I’m off to Florida and Cuba. I have always wanted to go to Havana since
I was a child and my parents narrowly missed an opportunity to see the country. I
will be with a childhood friend who lives in the Florida Keys and my niece and her
husband who have a home in Cape Coral. I bought a one way ticket so I can de-
cide when I fly home. Of course, I will also be with my daughter, Kristen while I
am in Florida and I look forward to my time with her.
Phil will be home working and taking care of the ranch. (Dogs)
Enjoy your time with John Zdrazil and he will be covering for me both
preaching, confirmation, and if needed visits to the hospital or care center. Some-
one else will be preaching at the Barrett Care center the second Tuesday of Janu-
ary. I think all the bases are covered.
I will see you in February. God bless I will be praying for you.

Sending you much love,

Pastor Denise Croskey

They also like BBQ’S.
One doesn't like chili.
Spaghetti would be wonderful as well.
Cut up apples or fruit.
