ON CLIMATE AND TERRESTRIAL BIOMES Introductory lecture:
Regional climates may be described in terms of five
different types of biomes. A biome is characterized by the particular combination of: Temperature Humidity Vegetation Associated animal life in an area.

DIRECTION: Look and analyze the picture above and
answer the questions that follow; it is also given that all students are obliged to share their analysis to the whole class when deemed necessary by the teacher.
GUIDE QUESTIONS:
1. The “No dry season” is a regional climate of
predominantly what parts of the earth? And, 2. What could be the reason why this part has no dry season? 3. What parts of the earth can we found the arid and semi-arid climates? And, 4. What could be the governing factor for this phenomenon (arid and semi-arid) to happen? 5. Where in the globe can we find places that only experiences short dry season? And, 6. What regional climates can we find surrounding these places with short dry season? 7. Where can we find the frosty climate in the planet? And, 8. What is the factor that results to these climatic conditions in those places? 9. Generally speaking, what do you think is the cause of these variations in climates in the entire planet? 10. Is there an economic significance that we can find in these variations? Explain briefly 11. What shall be the negative effect if there is no variations of climate at all in the entire planet?
