ABSTRACT

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) disease is an infectious disease caused by dengue


virus and is transmitted through the bito of Aedes aegypti mosquito that live and breeds in
clean water containers that are not directly related to the ground like a bathtub, animal
drinking place, crock, cans, tires, and others. Factors affecting the existence of larvae include
physical and biological environment, environmental sanitation. The purpose of this research
is to existence survey of Aedes Aegypty larvae containers inside a house at Gebugan Village,
Bergas District, Semarang Regency.

The research used a descriptive observational design with cross sectional approach.
The population was 1710 headed the families at Gebugan Village Bergas District Semarang
Regency. The sample used 175 families. Sampling technique used cluster sampling. Data
analysis used distributing frecuency and persentace.

The results showed that 17,9% (103 containers) contained larvae, and 82,1% (473
containers) did not founding larvae. Most of the containers owned by the respondents were
bright color of 52,8% (303 containers). Most of the containers owned by the respondents with
temperature of 20-30 oC were 83% (462 containers), and the containers washed > 3 days
50,4% (268 containers).

It this suggested to the society to keep the hygieneof water containers so that they are
protected from infection of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever disease.
