ABSTRACT

The aim of the experiment is to investigate the existence of chlorine in tap water under different
conditions and whether sunlight is an effective way to remove Chlorine. The method chosen is by
using chlorine tester. High level of chlorine will turn the water sample yellowish orange in
colour. Middle level of chlorine will turn the water sample yellow in colour while low level of
chlorine will turn the water sample colourless. The results show that chlorine exists in tap water
and sunlight is an effective method to remove chlorine in water.
