DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ASSIGNED TO JUNIOR ASSOCIATES/
ASSOCIATES/ SENIOR ASSOCIATES/ SPECIAL ASSOCIATES/
CHIEF ASSOCIATES (CUSTOMER SUPPORT & SALES)

In view of the paradigm change in the nature of roles of clerical cadre employees and to give
them a contemporary job title, they have been recently designated as Junior Associates/
Associates/ Senior Associates/ Special Associates/ Chief Associates (Customer Support & sales).
This will help in enhancing their job satisfaction and pride in one’s own job besides reflecting
the core element of responsibility assigned.

2. To take care of the hopes and aspirations of these employees as also of the current common
concerns of the Bank, they are empowered to perform higher duties and responsibilities, and
are also eligible to draw Special pay and other monetary benefits much higher than their peers
in other public sector banks. This empowerment gives them an opportunity to broad base their
skills and also helps in their career development.

3. In this context, to ensure optimum utilization of these employees, a write-up on certain


important provisions of the settlements signed with All India State Bank of India Staff
Federation and also an indicative list of duties assigned to various categories of clerical cadre
employees is annexed, as a ready reference for all concerned.

3. Please arrange to bring the contents of this circular to the notice of all concerned, working at
your branch/office.
