You are on page 1of 1

run imdiskinst.

exe
open control panel, open ImDisk Virtual Driver.
click mount new
click browse for the image file, select rslogix image.vfd
change the drive letter to A
click the "copy image to memory" box, and click ok
install rslogix and rslinx (if you want to program plc's) as usual, and tadaa!

if you get the "access denied" error, you need to open command prompt as admin.
open your start menu, and in the search area type cmd.
right click on the cmd program at the top of the start menu and select run as
administrator.
type these two lines in:

sc config imdisk start= auto

net start imdisk

and voila! the instructions work as they read.

rslogix needs the floppy image to authenticate. if you restart your computer
and run rslogix, you will get a prompt saying unable to authenticate.

no big deal! simply mount the image and life is good.
