Normal Simulator Sequence

Preliminary Procedures

1. NP

CDU Pre-flight

1. Verify IRS coordinates.


2. Enter DEP and ARR airports
3. Enter SID and STAR
4. Connect RTE disco and check in PLN mode
5. On PERF INIT, enter GW, RSV, CI, CRZ ALT, TRANS ALT and CRZ WIND if available
6. N1 LIMIT page, enter assumed temp if available and select TO rating
7. TAKEOFF REF 2 is completed by entering EO ACCEL HT, ASSUMED TEMP, SLOPE & RWY WIND
8. On TO REF 1, FLAPS and CG is entered if available. V SPD is entered once load sheet is ready
9. Check all VNAV pages for correct SPD and ALT restrictions. CRZ ALT is also checked
10. For any emergencies, a FIX is selected as a HOLD PT to resolve the problem

Exterior Inspection

1. Turn on Position and Wheel Well Lights


2. Inform the Capt that you are going to do an exterior inspection
3. NP
4. Once completed, report conditions to Capt

Pre-flight

1. Capt calls, READY FOR LIGHT TEST


2. NP
3. Capt will establish comms with GRD CREW before starting APU
4. Capt asks, READY FOR FLIGHT INSTRUMENT SCAN?
5. Capt calls, PREFLIGHT CHECKLIST

Before Start Procedures

1. CDU performance entries once LOAD SHEET is available <GW, CG, ASSUMED TEMP, TRIM, V SPEEDS>. Arm A/T
and VNAV
2. COMPANY, TAKEOFF CONFIG, THREAT AND ERROR, AND DEPARTURE BREIF
3. Check door indications. If still not prepared, request for time until ac will be ready
4. Request ATC CLEARANCE. ARM LNAV
5. Capt requests to pressurise HYD. SYS on Upper DU
6. NP. Capt calls BEFORE START CHECKLIST

Pushback and Start Procedures

1. Call ATC for PUSH AND START


2. Capt informs ground crew push and start is cleared
3. RELEASE PARK BRAKE, SET ET, ENG on Upper DU AND SET ALT REPORT OFF
4. NP

Before Taxi Procedure

1. NP up to engine start levers


2. Capt informs ground, 2 GOOD STARTS CLEARED TO DISCONNECT, HANDS AND PINS ON THE LEFT OR RIGHT
3. Continue NP FLAPS, FLT CONTROL and RECALL
4. Capt calls BEFORE TAXI CHECKLIST
5. Contact ATC for TAXI CLEARANCE
6. Ater clearance, TAXI LIGHTS ON, WHEEL WELL OFF
Before Take-off Procedure (APPROACHING RUNWAY)

1. Ensure 2 min engine run up completed


2. Inform cabin crew, BE SEATED FOR TAKEOFF
3. WHEATHER RADAR AVAILABLE
4. Capt calls, BEFORE TAKEOFF CHECKLIST

Takeoff procedure

1. STROBE LIGHT ON, TARA


2. BRAKES RELEASED, ALIGNED WITH RWY
3. Clearance given, LANDING LIGHTS ON, TAXI LIGHT OFF
4. SET 40% thrust, CHRONO TIME, TOGA
5. STANDARD CALLOUTS
6. PF calls AFTER TAKEOFF CHECKLIST

Climb and Cruise Procedure

1. Landing Lights OFF and Seat Belts AUTO at 10000ft


2. Transition Altitude, ALTIMETERS SET STD, READY TO COPY HEIGHT CHECK?
3. Center tank pump OFF when low pressure light illuminates

Descent Procedures

1. Set center tank pump OFF as needed, PUSH RECALL


2. CRAMPSR using 1 of the IAC
3. Complete THREAT & ERROR, and ARRIVAL BREIFING
4. Tell cabin to prepare for arrival
5. Capt calls DESCENT CHECKLIST

Approach Procedure

1. TRANSITION LEVEL SET ALTIMETERS 10__, READY FOR HEIGHT CHECK?


2. 10000ft, LANDING AND PASSANGER SEAT BELT SIGN ON
3. ISFD APP mode
4. Select ILS frequency
5. Capt calls APPROACH CHECKLIST

Landing Procedure

1. CABIN CREW, BE SEATED FOR LANDING (before 2000FT)


2. FLAPS according to schedule. Flaps 5 before FINAL APPROACH COURSE
3. Once LOC/ILS clearance is given, ARM APP and 2nd A/P <17nm from APP CRS
4. On FINAL CRS, set HDG BUG and BANK ANGLE
5. G/S ALIVE, GEAR DOWN AND FLAPS 15
6. G/S CAPTURE, FLAPS __ and G/A ALT is set
7. Capt calls LANDING CHECKLIST

Landing Roll Procedure

1. NP

After Landing Procedure

1. Clear of RUNWAY, CHRONO for 3 mins


2. NP
