Intro: Good day, to one and all and welcome to today’s discussion that revolves around the

relevant topics concerning staff turnover, retention and remuneration, the “Pagoda Nurses”
I presume that majority of our attendees today are very familiar of what “Pagoda” means but
for those who don’t. it is a Filipino slang that means “tired”. Now that everyone is aware of what
pagoda means. May I please see the hands of the “Pagoda” Nurses in this venue?
(Oh quite a lot or not too much) I know that all of you can attest to the fact that nursing is a very
tiring profession but despite how much are demanded of us, the fulfillment, joy and satisfaction
of helping others and saving lives is very incomparable. AMEN?

That’s the spirit! And Now, to thank our gracious God for his unending blessings, let us rise and
remember that we before the Holy presence of God in a prayer to be led by EMER JASPER
FLORES RN and to remain standing for the National anthem and ORNAP Hymn.

Please take your seats. Thank you sir Emer, for the enlightenment to keep our spirits up
throughout the entire program!
