Secretary General of the Black Peoples
Convention, a political party under the
Black Consciousness Movement of South
Africa . He is the founder and General
Secretary of the Black Allied Workers
Union, ·a national union in South Africa.
The BAWU 1 s purpose, according to Koka,
is "to organize a united, powerful Africa.q
workers union'. :
Koka has been indicted by the South
African government as a co-conspirator
in t he frame-up triaL-of eleven Soweto
student leaders charged with "sedition"
and "terrorism". Hp lives in exile in
Botswana.
He will be speaking about political
pri son ers in South Africa and the fight
for Black majority rule •
