LESSON DEVELOPMENT : 1. Pupils are separated into pairs containing varied levels of proficiency.
Pupils study the pictures on page 6.
2. Pupils list down at least 5 words for family members in pairs on a mini-
whiteboard. 1 minute is given for the task. Pupils have to achieve a
minimum of 5 words. Pupils with high-proficiency work individually.
3. Pairs / individuals are selected to present the findings using the lollipop

4. Pupils are instructed to read the title of the text as depicted on page 6.
5. Pupils are informed on the meanings of unfamiliar terms using C3B4ME.
6. In the same pairs, pupils brainstorm for at least 3 ways on how to learn
about a family's past in pairs. Pupils then cross-check the findings with
another pair using the numbered strategy.
7. Using 'think-pair-share' strategy, pupils share their findings with the
class.
