Thank God for His grace because with His bounty I have been able to complete the
Career Folio as a Pharmacist in a timely manner.

First of all, I would like to extend my thanks to MJSC Taiping for giving me the
opportunity to make this folio a preliminary preparation for the MOCK Interview that will
take place in 2019.

Thank you for your kind attention to my parents, Mr Lee Anh Zin and Mrs Chai Mei Lin,
who have been giving much support and encouragement as long as I complete this
assignment. All the sacrifices and the money that my father and mother will give me will
reply back with great success later.

To the MRSM Muar counselor who helped me a lot, namely Mrs. Aminah and Mr. Abu ,
I am so grateful for the kindness of my mind to help me solve this folio.

Next, I would like to extend my appreciation to my friends who are willing to spend time
with me preparing this folio even though they are also busy preparing their own folios.

Finally, my career folio has been prepared as a result of their efforts to help me
prepare. Thank you once again I say.

INTRODUCTION

What is career? Career is the progress and actions taken by a person throughout a
lifetime, especially those related to that person's occupations. A career is often
composed of the jobs held, titles earned and work accomplished over a long period of
time, rather than just referring to one position.

As we know, every time we have a fever, cough or suffering from a disease, we will go
to a hospital or clinic to see a doctor. The doctor treats and advises on the disease and
then asks the patient to take the medication at the counter. However, who is behind the
vein that ensures that the medication given to the patient is correct as written by the
doctor? What if the medicine was wrong or overdose? Imagine what would happen if
someone with stomach ache was given a cough medicine? Mistakes in the
administration of medicines invite patients to a variety of complications and harms, as
well as involving human lives.

In order to avoid unwanted things, the management of medicinal affairs is handed over
to those who are wise in this field. Those in this category are known as pharmaceutist or
under the Public Service Department referred to as pharmacists.

Effectiveness in medicine can only be seen when management and use of medicines
are effective and rational. This phenomenon is important for developing countries like
Malaysia, even in developed countries. In developed countries, professional activities
involving the distribution, supply and dispensing of medicines are indispensable in line
with the technological imbalance and the complexity of modern healthcare systems.

At the end of the 20th century, economic issues related to the cost of living were very
warmly discussed. Studies have shown that drugs are one of the most effective and
inexpensive ways to compare with other methods of disease prevention. As such,
pharmacists have an important role in the health system of a country and can act in the
interests of patients and communities in order to make medications used rationally and
effectively. This functionality has been expanded from "product-oriented" to "patient-
oriented"

REASONS CHOOSING CARIER FIELD

I chose a career in the pharmacuetical industry because I was very interested in the
subjects related to Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and some other subjects.

Through this folio, I learned more about the future in pharmacuetical after graduation. If
I did not finish making this folio, it was hard for me to understand this field.

In fact, this field has many branches. There are pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals,
biotechnology, Research and Development (R & D) and more. It allows me to make
more choices.

In addition, I also know about the tests and challenges that will affect pharmacists, they
have to deal with a variety of diseases, identify appropriate materials, make informed
decisions, and more. Not only that, they not only face the disease but also with tools,
economic turmoil, technological advances, challenges increase lifetime improvement
and many more.

Perhaps some citizens find that dumping graduates are not getting jobs if they venture
into this field. But in fact, this field provides many job opportunities to graduates.
According to afterschool.com, this field is among the 10 most needed jobs in Malaysia
with high incomes in 2017. It also being selected as the top 10 courses that guarantee
good job in 5 year later.

So in my opinion, I have chosen the right career for my future.

that this field will continue expanding from time to time as this field
has a high prospect in our country.
5. Experience Gained From The Field
Many things happen. How can I say, "Easy but Difficult Professional Course". It is
difficult because many excellent students choose the field of medicine as the first choice
and put the pharmacy field as the second or third option. While the grade set in this
area is eligible for most students in science, the students need to be aware that the
pharmacy field is also sought by high-yielding students, thereby reducing the chance of
students who are interested in the field of pharmacy.
CLOSING

Gratitude to Divine Wisdom, with His grace, I can also prepare this career folio. Overall,
this Career Folio has helped me in selecting career and course courses that are
appropriate and coincide with my personality.

As a matter of fact, this assignment also gave me encouragement to continue the

aspirations I dreamed from childhood until I managed to get it. As a result, I will make
sure I work hard to achieve the best in the SPM exam to open my chances to further my
education in the pharmacuetical field.

In spite of this, this assignment has also opened my eyes to prepare myself to meet the
requirements of university qualifications to continue my aspirations in medicine and
subsequently meet my life goals. Finally, I pray that the pharmacist's career will come
true in the future
