EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Chill bites was founded on the 2nd of Mac, 2018, with founding members and fellow
shareholders Syatirah Husna binti Mohamad Zaid (189305), Nor Hazirah binti Mohd Nor
(193526), Ayu Syazwanie binti Md Shaharudin (187998), Nurul Hidayah binti Abdul Wahab
(187333), Nurul Aina Wahida binti Mohd Khairuddin (187518), Siti Fatiha binti Ismadi
(188820) Azirah binti Abd Rahim (193399), Nurul Nadiah binti Shukor (186842), Anis Farhana
binti Shahrim (190508) and Hadirah Nasuha binti Hassan (190027). Through meets inside and
outside of our lecture sessions under Dr Siti Suriawati binti Isa,we have devised the vision,
mission and logo for our Chill bites company on the ground of functionality of our product and
appeal to our target audience. A collection of RM20 per person was collected from each
shareholders accumulating to a RM200 total reserve for covering various costs for equipment
and material. As our group company name, Chill bites, we offers a variety flavour of instant
noodles such as Curry Maggi, Fried Maggi and Thai Maggi in one pack named as combo pack.
One combo pack consist five pieces of instant noodles and customers have the right to
customized their order up to their taste. We also offers a variety of crisps for those who wants a
crispy bites as a snack. We aim around Rm70 worth of profit. Chill bites expects to catch the
interest of a regular loyal fan of instant noodles especially among the students. Chill bites aims to
offer our products at a competitive price to meet the demand of our customer.

BUSINESS INDUSTRIES OVERVIEW

Instant Noodles Industry in Malaysia


Instant noodles is one of the favourite food among Malaysians because it easy to cook. It
also have a various types that suitable for Malaysian taste. A new report shows that Malaysians
consume 3.6 million packets of instant noodles every day. That comes up to 1.34 billion packets
of instant noodles getting slurped up every year, in Malaysia alone. The new data was revealed
by Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd’s managing director Alois Hofbauer, who claims that his company’s
super-popular Maggi brand alone accounts for 1.4 million packets of instant noodles being
consumed by Malaysians daily.
From this statistics, we can conclude that this industry has high demands from
Malaysians. We also can see that this industry can help to generate higher income to our country
in terms of revenue and taxes. Besides that, we can provide alternative instant noodles to
Malaysian that love a different types of maggi in cheaper prices. Thus, we have a strong
backbone which gave by the customers. We think this Maggi Combo that produced by Chill
Bites would be like by people.
Other than that, we also bring out our side product which is beans. We sell a various
types of beans and pack it to the small size with cheaper prices. It also have gain an attraction to
our customers.

Our Position in The Market


Our products have a large market in UPM because almost all the UPMs’ students like to
eat instant noodles. Furthermore, UPM is main occupied by students. We will bring Maggi
Combo to the UPMs’ students with three types of Maggi in one pack with affordable price. This
Maggi Combo can compete with another brands and our customers will love it.

We also received many complaint that the students cannot afford to buy all the types of
their favourite instant noodles. Sometimes, students also feel boring to eat same types of maggi
everyday. We have an idea to solve this problems by making up Maggi Combo that the price just
RM 5.00 per pack. Our customers can get 5 instant noodles with 3 different types of maggi.
They also can choose wich combo they want because we have three combo which is Combo A,
Combo B and Combo C.
We also have conduct a survey the 3 types of instant noodles that the students like. As the
result many students choices Maggi Kari, Maggi Sedap and we add Maggi Siam to our Maggi
Combo. Many students like it and gave 5 stars rating to our prouduct.

The Competition
Every business have their own competition. Our main competition is the collage mart and
the vanding machine. As we know, vanding machine today also sell snacks, beans and maggi. In
the collge mart they variety types of maggi like Maggi Ayam, Maggi Tom Yam and Maggi
Asam Laksa that also well known to Malaysian especially UPMs’ students.

WHAT MAKES OUR MAGGI COMBO UNIQUE

We provides services directly to Kolej Serumpun and Kolej Lembah students directly to
their rooms. we also pack our Maggi Combo and beans nicely then put our sticker at the plastic
bag. After that, our Maggi Combo came in three types of maggi that is Maggi Kari, Mee Sedap
and Maggi siam. students also can choose their favourite combo because we have three different
combo that is Combo A, Combo B and Combo C. We pack our beans in small size that people
will easy to bring it.

SALES AND MARKETING PLAN

In this section , we will discuss about the strategy and some business activities involved in
order to accomplishing company’s objectives in a specific time. Marketing strategy is important
and necessary to keep business on track even though how good the quality of products are .

To ensure our business run smoothly, we had made a lot of platform to promote our
products. We made sure that Marketing Team had put their effort to publish a lot of
advertisement. One of the way to promote the products, Marketing Team had set up a Facebook
page, make Instagram and spread news about our products. Other than that, we also made full
used of social media such WhatsApp to forward our business’ messages.
1. Our product are combo maggi and this are some of our characteristics :
- One combo pack consist five pieces of instant noodles
- Combo maggi that has variety type of maggi in Malaysia.
- Customers have the right to customized their order up to their taste.
- We have Thai Maggi which is imported from Kelantan
- We give you the Ultimate Maggi Kari and Maggi Mee Sedaap.
- We provide delivery to all colleges around UPM
- As customer, you will never get special combo just like what we offered.

2. Price
- We sell this Maggi Combo at the best price.
- The price of one Maggi Combo is only Rm 5
- Customer can choose or pick any three type of maggi to become a combo (5 packets only)
- We charged RM 0.50 for each delivery around UPM.

3. Place
Chill Bites is established under subject of entrepreneurship g roup 3. The main focus place to run
our business is at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). We target all the people in UPM since most
of the time we are here . So , it is easier for us to promote our products . There are different
faculties and colleges in UPM. The overall map of UPM is shown in the figure below.

Ownership is that The ultimate and exclusive right conferred by a lawful claim or title and
subject to certain restrictions to enjoy, occupy, possess, rent, sell, use, give away, or even
destroy an item of property. Ownership may be corporeal (title to a tangible object such as a
house) or incopreal (title to an intangible object, such as a copyright, or a right to recover debt.
Possession (as in tenancy) does not necessarily mean ownership because it does not
automatically transfer title.
In ganeral, ownership is your right to possession of a certain property.

OPERATING PLAN

1. Production of WorkFlow
A. The products, instant noodles and snacks were purchased at big wholesale
located at Sri Serdang.
B. We purchased 130 packs of instant noodles from various flavours to mix up and
make combinations customized..
C. Four packets of snacks were distributed into 27 mini packs
D. Each combo is sorted into plastic bag with Chill Bite logo
E. Mini packs were packed into plastic packaging and sealed.
F. We were open for order through social media and provide with cash on delivery
service for nearest colleges
G. Snacks were distributed by locating some packaging to each block in college.

2. Problems occured during production process


A. We had some problems on obtaining materials because most of the member do
not have own transportation.
B. We met difficulties to assemble products together since team members came
from different faculties
C. Customers have different interest on noodles flavours, hence the quantity of
noodles from each flavour is not stable.
D. Plastic bag for Maggi Combo crumpled easily and packaging presentation may
look non-exclusive.

FINANCIAL PLAN

In our organization, which is Chill bites, each individual had contributed an equal amount of
RM20. Thus a total owner capital is calculated as below:

Owner capital = RM20 x 10 = RM200

Price per unit of Maggi Combo = RM5.00
