ABSTRACT

This research was carried out in the village of Noelbaki, Kupang Tengah District, for 10 weeks
starting November 12, 2017 to January 25, 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the
effect of using a mixture of Sierad concentrates with local feed on the consumption and
digestibility of dry matter and organic matter of pigs. The material used was 18 kastrasi pigs of
landrace breeders aged 3-3.5 months with initial body weight of 20.40 - 38.20 kg (KV =
19.42%). This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) of 6 treatments with 3
replications. The treatment tried was T1: 100% complete feed (EGP 702); T2: 6% sour seed flour
+ 68% pumpkin + 26% KGP 709, T3: 17% putak flour + 50% pumpkin + 33% KGP 709, T4:
20% cassava + 47% pumpkin + 33% KGP 709, T5: 70% pumpkin + 30% KGP 709, T6: 10%
sour seed flour + 60% putak flour + 30% KGP 709. The variables studied were consumption and
digestibility of dry matter and organic matter. The results of statistical analysis showed that the
treatment had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on the consumption and digestibility of dry
matter and organic matter and T4 (20% cassava + 47% pumpkin + 33% KGP 709) showing
relatively the same results as T1 (EGP 704 complete feed). It was concluded that the use of KGP
709 concentrates in different local feeds resulted in different consumption and digestibility of dry
matter and organic matter and in mixtures with pumpkin and cassava gave relatively the same
results as EGP 704 complete feed in fattening pigs. Suggestions that can be given is a mixture of
20% cassava + 47% pumpkin + 33% KGP 709 can be selected for feed fattening pigs.
