All items are not in all aircraft. For instance, the Comparator Monitor (forward right radio rack, shelf 2) on the older systems aircraft has been replaced by the Symbol Generators on the newer planes. Be sure to check for effectivity 00-6 ELECTRICAL POWER CONTROLS AND INDICATORS. CONTROLS AND INDICATORS F” oveanean rane. 00-9 EFFECTIVITY CODES ‘An operators fleet effectivity is expressed by a six digit indicator in the effectivity block preceded by an airline designation code consisting of two alpha characters. The assigned fleet effectivity and the last three digits following the hyphen show the ending fleet effectivity within an unbroken sequence of assigned fleet numbers. An ending effectivity of 999 indicates an continuous effectivity within a fleet regardless of the actual number of aircraft in the fleet, The word ALL indicates the page applies to all DC-9-80 aircraft in the operators fleet regardless of numerical sequence, 00-10 Factory Bik Manufacturing Serial Unit Registration Fuselage Effectivity Series Number Number Number Number Code MANUF.SERIES FACTSIN BLKUNT REGISTRATION FUSELAGE EFFECT 82 49145 80C101 N203AA 1097 101 82 49167 800102 N216AA 1099 102 82 49168 80C103 N218AA 1100 103 82 49155 80C104 N205AA 1103 104 82 49158 80C105 N207AA 1106 105 82 49159 800106 N208AA 1107 106 82 49161 800107 N210AA 1109 107 82 49162 800108 N214AA 1110 108 82 49163 80C109 N215AA 4111 109 82 49171 80C110 N219AA 1112 110 82 49172 a0ct11 N221AA 1113 141 82 49173 800112 N223AA 1114 112 82 49174 800113 N224AA 1115, 113 82 49175 800114 N225AA 1116 114 82 49176 80C115 N226AA 1120 115 82 49177 800116 N227AA 1121 116 82 49178 80C117 N228AA 1122 417 82 49179 800118 N232AA 1123 118 82 49180 80C119 N233AA 1124 119 EFFECTIVITY CODES 00-11 DIGITAL LOGIC FUNCTIONS In digital electronics there are only two voltage levels. Circuit components called Logic Gates are either turned On or tured OFF. These are only two states the logic gates can be in. These states are also referred to as HI of LO and 1's and 0's. The eight possible types of logic gates are listed below: * YES Gate # NOT Gate or Inverter # OR Gate NOR Gate # AND Gate * NAND Gate * XOR Gate * XNOR Gate Each type of logic gate has one or more input and one output. The output is determined by the state of the input(s). When the combination of inputs results in the logic gate being turned on, the output voltage level will be a positive voltage level such as +5V. When the logic gate is turned off, the output will normally be at OV or at ground level Each of these gate types have a schematic symbol for identification and a truth table for use in determining the output for given input(s). These gates can be used in various combinations to achieve any needed condition. In other words, logic gate combinations can be used to control aircraft systems. In its, the logic gates are located on integrated circuits (ics). 00-12 & fesaen SNe IC a sagnerinuty encased , Sol ence Soe 8 ened te AR sue cures FED cxcctnourne ewren Y somee mse @ esr rou 5 oo @ wane vec oeanins root @® voreaue seatve vont 8 “Suesaecare er Met cer WEST, MBSR MBSE ATE 28S NMS of tat toa Brae sats Lore sur ane sen 1 ou, SBRrTiH D> meaner +>- DIFFEREN TIATOR > Biber ver —t00% 0 ES ose + fo Bev aa Brooker She!
