The IT Investment Solutions Group (ISG) at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) is looking
for an experienced individual to fill a permanent, fulltime Agile Coach role for their SimCorp
Dimension implementation and integration team. Candidates must have solid and strong working
skills of Scrum and Lean practices under a true Agile mindset (as opposed to a traditional project
manager), as well as experienced and evolved leadership and interpersonal skills capable of
facilitating improved team health.

The ISG Dimension Team provides SimCorp Dimension configuration and support for HOOPP’s
Investment Book of Record for Accounting, Investment Operations and Front Office. Building and
supporting the integration from the SCD vendor application to HOOP’s internal custom applications
and services using MicroService architecture is also a primary function of this team.

Currently this team is undergoing a merger from two separate teams and the Agile Coach will be
instrumental in facilitating their evolution and growth in addition to playing the role of Scrum Master
for the new team. The team’s principles are focused on delivering true customer value in a dynamic
and fast-paced environment. They value challenging the status quo, innovative solutions and team
collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate and support the capability of the ISG Dimension Team to meet customer and stakeholder
objectives acting as the fulltime Scrum Master and coach for the team
Facilitate and support the growth of the leadership roles within the team (specifically the Product
Owner and Technical Leadership)
Explore and identify opportunities with the team to enhance vendor relationships and delight
multiple team sponsors/customers/stakeholders
Continuously improve production system support triage and ongoing support management
processes
Facilitate and support team improvement (customer satisfaction, delivery throughput, quality and
technical expertise through transparency, observation, diagnosis and solutions adaptation);
support leadership’s involvement and understanding of the team’s evolution
Enhance the culture of team health - use team feedback, measurements, judgement and instincts
to help the team establish comradery, health, growth and happiness
Facilitate effective team decision-making, communication and collaboration, and help support and
sustain team-level continuous improvement
Teach, mentor and facilitate Agile values and principles as well as Scrum and Lean practices
within the team
Build communication, relationships and understanding of Agile between the team and their
delivery counterparts, vendors, customers, stakeholders and sponsors
Collaborate with the Product Owner, Customers, Stakeholders and Team Members to define clear
value driven objectives and success criteria for the teams to fulfil
Collaborate with cross-team Product Owners and Scrum Masters to communicate and coordinate
cross-team initiatives
Establish and maintain trust and respect of the team, stakeholders, sponsors and other
colleagues.
Assist the evolution of a department wide “coaching” practice in collaboration with other Scrum
Master/Team Coaches (sharing thoughts and advice on practices, measurements and playbooks
that will fit and shape HOOPP’s culture and objectives)
Bring industry knowledge from the Agile community to support growth

Qualifications and Skills Demonstrable experience in a Scrum Master and/or coaching role, leveraging both Scrum and
Lean practices

10+ years of experience in IT product delivery – preferably with project experience involving an
external vendor (even better – with SimCorp Dimension experience)
Demonstrable host-leadership experience – measuring, diagnosing and facilitating team
improvement, customer satisfaction and value/objective driven achievements
Demonstrable experience as a Team/Agile Coach, including experience coaching Product Owners
and Leadership roles
Previous experience training, mentoring and evolving teams and individuals, preferably in Agile
capabilities
Experienced at peer-networking, working with portfolio or cross-team level initiatives
University degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related
Agile Certification
Involvement in the Agile/Lean Community
Experience in Finance/Trading/Pension industry
Experience with various agile-based techniques such as Impact Mapping, Story Mapping, Change
Canvases, Team Working Agreements, various effective Retrospective techniques, Feature-Based
Teams, scaling techniques etc.
Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Strong coaching ability
Charismatic, dynamic and empathetic yet humble; capable of taking a back seat to the needs of
the team
Strong work ethic, driven, dependable, and responsible
Ability to work well in an autonomous and self-regulated, team-based and client-centric
environment without focusing on individual glory
Ability to embrace fluidity and ambiguity and quickly adapt to change
Ability and desire to learn different skills outside of their domain of expertise
