BASIC FACTS:

Target Population are orphans and students

1) Prioritized beneficiaries in most need in Yogyakarta,

FIRST EVENT 2008
HDI's distributed 50 essential food packages in a deprived area
where residents lived off of throw away items. University student
volunteers conducted educational seminars and free warm meal
distribution event in town. About 300 people were served and the
effort was featured in a local newspaper

MICRO-BUSINESS PROJECT 2009


In the village of Samigaluh, Kulonprogo, where over 20% of the
farmers live under the poverty line. HDI partnered with the
agriculture body of the government to inform and train farmers
about utilizing the cacao trees as an alternate cash crop. The near
cacao forest was not being economically exploited.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE

Free Mobile Health Clinics Trauma Healing Disaster Relief

FREE MOBILE CLINIC

On, June 28, 2015, HDI held its Open Free Health Clinic, at
Tejokusuman (Winogo River). The remote village had about
900 residents with 18% living below the poverty rate. The
attendees were ecstatic to have HDI offer such vital service
for their survival. The clinic screened approximately 100
elderly patients and about 200 children received dental and
nutritional interactive workshops. HDI inspired change and
demonstrated a new innovative way to service those most
in need
