ELECTRICAL QUESTIONAIRE:

1. What is QA/QC?
Ans: QA/QC means “Quality Assurance / Quality Control” The purpose of this (QA /QC) is to establish the
sequence of requirement of quality of materials and quality of works, its inspection and record.

2. What is the basic responsibility of a QA/QC?


Ans: To ensure execution of works and comply fully as per standard and approved specs.

3. What is schedule Q?
Ans: Schedule Q is an attachment to the contract, which is provision of Quality Assurance and Control,
Inspection and Test Plan

3. What is RFI? When an RFI will be raised?


Ans: Request For Inspection(RFI). RFI shall be raised only when the status of the preliminary inspection
is satisfactory, and the work (items) are Hold or Witness points.

4. What is ITP’s ? What are Surveillance, Hold & Witness points?


Ans: ITP means Inspection and Test Plan, details of work scope and required types of inspection.
Surveillance (S) inspector has right to conduct random inspection if works.
Hold Points (H) is the level of inspection that client inspection must required through RFI and can
not be proceed until inspection is done by client.
Witness Point (W) is the level of inspection that inspection activity can be proceeded without
client inspection or if client is not available as per RFI timing.
What are the various level of Inspection? Explain
Ans: They are as followed
Level of inspection for materials:
a) Level 0- Documents requirements only, No inspection
b) Level 1-Inspection prior to shipping
c) Level 2-Minimum requirements, pre-inspection meeting, one or more unspecified “In
progress” surveillance visit.
d) Level 3-Same as level 2 , except that “in progress” surveillance inspection shall be in regular
basis.
e) Level4-Resident inspector continuously monitor the works.

3. What are the basic required documents for a QA/QC personal?


Ans: The basic required documents for a QA/QC personal are as followed
ITP: To conduct the quality check (inspection/ witness/surveillance)etc.
WP: Standard procedure to execute the work.
RFI: To conduct the inspection of completed works.
QR: To maintain the quality records of completed works.
QCO: To issue a warning in case of little violation and observation.
NCR: To issue warning in case of serious violation of standard.

4. What is NCR? Why does it need for a QA/QC personal?


Ans: NCR means Non Compliance report/Non Confirming Report, QA/QC has reserve the right to issue a
warning if the contractor does not comply or violate with standard procedure.

5. What is the general work procedure(WP)


Ans: The general sequence of activities will be as follows;
Receiving drawing and documents
Reproducing of drawings,
Issuing of drawing to site,
New issuing New revision,
Shredding of drawings,
Redlining drawings,
Transmittal of redlines to client (As-built)
Restricted access to the DCO
Work permit prior to start the works

24. What is the meaning of (a) ITP’s & (b) QCP?

Ans: (a) This procedure informs about the kind of Quality check (surveillances, inspection,
witness & hold points) means quality of work is being done in proper sequences.

Ans: (b) This procedure addresses the activity & requirement in details.

What is Quality Inspector?

Ans: Quality Inspector is working for contractor and manufacture to ensure that the work is
performed in accordance with the design and applicable standard by requirement of the client.

What is PID?

Ans : PID is responsible for quality monitoring for all the stage of construction, Pre-
commissioning up to the final acceptance to ensure that the compliance with design and
applicable standard and project specification.

What is Preventive action?

Ans; Preventive action is an action to eliminate the cause of potential for Non-conformity or un-
desirable situation.

What is QMS?
Ans: Quality Monitoring system is a system where an organization needs to demonstrate its
ability to consistently provide products that meet customer’s regulatory requirement s and aim
enhance customer satisfaction through the effect application of the system.

What is Quality Control ?


Ans: Quality control is a management function that is entended to control and regulate the
process in order to perform defective product from being made.

What is QA?
Quality Assurance is plan and systematic action to provide an adequate confidence that a product
will confirm to requirement.
What is transformer?
