MATH EXTREME CHALLENGE

General Mechanics

1. A team shall be composed of 7 members, the top 4 to 10 winners of the eliminations will be the section's official
representative for Math Extreme Challenge.

2. Before game proper, IDs will be checked to verify each contestants from the official list.

3. The race shall follow the schedules below. Late comers will be given deductions.
Jan. 30, 8am, Gym - Grade 7 Jan. 31, 8am, Gym - Grade 9
Jan. 30, 1pm, Gym - Grade 8 Jan. 31, 1pm, Gym - Grade 10

4. Calculators shall not be allowed in the race. Using any gadgets such as cellphones shall be forbidden during the
race. Any form of transportation shall be prohibited during the race. Any form of communication with the other
teams during the race shall be considered cheating. Any team caught CHEATING or not following the rules will be
disqualified.

5. CAUTION: Students that are NOT PHYSICALLY FIT are not allowed to join the race. If a student is not fit, the top 11
or onwards from the eliminations will become substitute for the said player.

6. Wear batch shirt and uniform jogging pants, if not available, same colored shirt for each section, on the day of the
contest.

Race Mechanics

1. There shall be 3 stations scattered all over the campus.

2. Each team qualifier from the assembly place will be given an index card with their team number written on it. This
will serve as their pass for every succeeding station.

3. In order to clear a station, the team should accomplish the given task, problem or solve the given puzzle correctly.

4.1 In every station, the team shall give the clue which they received from the previous station to the faculty member.
In case the clue handed is not for that corresponding station, the team’s index card will be collected and they will be
eliminated from the main race.

4.2 If the clue handed is correct, the station master will then give the task which they need to accomplish.

4.4 The team will will be given 60 minutes to finish a certain station. If a certain team is not able to finish the task,
the station master will give them the next station

4.5 If the team’s answer is correct, their index card will be signed and they will be given the next clue for the next
station.

4.6 In case that the team’s answer for the Math Question is incorrect, the team’s index card will be collected and they
will be given deduction in their overall time. They my try to answer the given task/problem until the time runs out.

5. The 1st team who clears all the 3 stations with the shortest possible time shall be declared the winner. The second
and the third to complete the race will be the 2nd and the 3rd placer, respectively.
