As lecturer for this course for the first time, it brings heaps of challenges and experiences

in my teaching career due to late employment. I learned how to adjust in order to fill the gap

between the academic culture before to the teaching strategies and knowledge I want to impart

to the students in order to become a more efficient instructor. I have to adjust to the learning

environment, since the campus don’t have any facilities that would cater the needs of the

students during laboratory activity and the behavior of the students at the same time towards

their studies. Evaluating the grades of the students and finding out they got passed my subject

makes me feel proud and accomplished for I know they have learned in my classes.

Unfortunately, there are still students who take their studies for granted and don’t take their

studies seriously they keep their minds close to some encouragements and suggestions. I adjust

my standards and gave them two chances to passed the subject. Some were determined and

were able to pass but some remained passive that even after numerous chances given to

increase their marks, their final grades were still unsatisfactory.

At the end of the semester, I learned that inorder to develop and grow professionally it is

important to remain your standards high for the efficiency of the students and the college. It is a

challenge for them to reach the standards and met the vision, mission and goals of the college.

To be an efficient instructor you have be more knowledgeable to your field of specialization and

widen your understanding on other fields not in lined to your course. It is very essential as an

instructor to qualify such traits to share something out from what you have learned and develop

young minds of the students and met their expectations towards the course. With that I am open

for criticisms and determined for improvements.
