Internet Safety Parent Art and Design Mornings
Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who
came this week to our Internet Safety Art and Design
Mornings. We hope you found the information useful
and enjoyed designing a t-shirt with your child. There
will be one winner from each year group and their
designs will be turned into t-shirts – one for the winners
and one to display in school.
If there are parents who would have liked to attend but
couldn’t come during the school day, we are looking
at having a similar event after school, later on in the
year. This would have to depend on whether parents
could attend at 3.30 or bring their children back after
school for a later event. Obviously, after school we
would not have the same amount of staffing available
(although all staff volunteer and staff are often in
school until six o‘clock); therefore parents would have
to bring their child back to school for a later event. If
you are interested in an after school parent/pupil
art/design workshop, please complete the comment
sheet on the back of the newsletter. Could you also
suggest a time for the event?
We have advertised these events before but haven’t
had much response so please let us know.
Y4 Trip to Conisbrough Castle
Today Y4 enjoyed a windy, rainy, blustery trip out to
Conisbrough Castle – perfect conditions to imagine
what it was like in the past! They said that they had an
amazing day learning about life in medieval times.
Uni Hockey Fixtures
This week the Under 9 hockey team played Brinsworth
Howarth at home. In a hard fought match Brinsworth
Manor won 10-4. Well done to everyone who played.
Next week the Under 9s play Whiston Worrygoose
pace! away.
Breakfast Club
Starting after half term we will be offering a Bagel Slice
to all children on arrival to school! We will then be
starting a Breakfast Club after the Easter break –
information about this was sent home last Friday. If you
would like any further information then please contact
the school office to speak to Mrs Ousley

Attendance
Just a reminder that our annual school target from
the local authority is 96.5% and at the end of every
half term you will receive an attendance letter.
These are to either congratulate pupils and
parents or to remind parents of attendance
figures and that the Education Welfare Officer is
available for support if needed. We always offer
support to ensure that you have all resources
available to you. Please contact school if you do
not understand the information in the letter.
School Photographs
School photographs will take place on the morning
of Tuesday 12th February. A letter providing details
has been sent home. Please ensure you complete
and return the reply slip so we are able to take
photos of your child and any siblings either in the
Junior or the Infant School. If you have pre-school
age children or children who attend the afternoon
nursery you will be able to bring them to be
photographed from 8.15-8.45am. Please enter school
via the main reception.
Uniform Reminder
 Red sweatshirt / cardigan
 White or red polo shirt
 Black or grey trousers or skirt
 Black or grey socks for boys
 White socks for girls
 Black shoes/black trainers(no logos or
patterns)
 Black head scarf for girls(where required)
For Summer
 Red checked dress for girls (or ordinary
uniform as above)
 Tailored shorts for boys black or grey(with
school polo shirt / sweatshirt / cardigan)
For P.E (all children)
 White Tee shirt
 Black shorts (girls may wear black footless
leggings for indoor)
 Black Plimsolls or black trainers
 For outdoor P.E children may bring a black
tracksuit without logos or patterns
