FN - Volume

Volume of Prisms

The volume of a solid figure is the number of cubic units inside the figure.

Each small cube represents one cubic unit.

Volume is measured in cubic units, such as in3, cm3,
ft3, and m3

How can you find the volume of any prism?

Rectangular Prism Triangular Prism

The base of a triangular prism is a triangle.

The base of a rectangular prism is a rectangle. To find the area of the base, B, use B = 21 bh
To find the area of the base, B, use B =lw
