Bija Mantras for the 7 Chakras

We have seven control centers on our spinal cord.

These individual centers are called “Chakra”. In Sanskrit Chakra means “Wheel” which continually
sets and help align emotions of the KARMIC body to the eternally balanced COSMIC forces. Our
bodies are made from the same elements as cosmos, ie. Earth, Water, Space, Wind and Fire.
Although these elements individually are extremely powerful and destructive; all the five, live in
harmony in the nature. Our body is a little cosmos where these five forces are continually struggling to
stay in balance due to constant exposure to extreme life events; may they be either stressful or joyful.
It is very important to note that extreme stress or extreme joy, both throw our emotional balance into
chaos. We need to practice aligning of these seven chakras daily in order to bring equanimity in our
lives. Hindu Vedic culture puts a lot of emphasis on the sound vibrations associated with these “Bij
Mantra’s” to heal and align respective seven chakra’s to bring immense balance to our life and to beat
the emotional treachery we go through in our daily lives.
