ABSTRACT

The project entitled “SPORTS ATTENDANCE SOFTWARE” is a web based

application that helps to manage student attendance in sports activity of the college. This
application provides the interaction between college Sports in-charge and tutor to manage
student attendance when they are participated in sports activity. It also manages the
selection activity of students to college and to state level, attendance system, automated
SMS to the Tutor. The users will consume less amount of time when compared to manual
paper work through the automated system. The system will take care of all the servicing
activity in a quick manner.

The software to be produced is on “Sports Software”. There are two users’ i.e., the
admin and the Sports In-charge. Admin provides username and password to the Sports In-
charge. Admin also has the right to add or modify the given username and password of
the Sports In-charge. Initially student registration is made (sports students registration to
the sports department category). Here the Sports In-charge enters all the details of a
student including the sport they like to participate. All these information will be stored in
the database. Next is the entry of the tournaments. Here depending on the sport, the
tournament date and the venue is saved in the database for further confirmation.

The system also provides a special system that when the student came to sports
event and he/she went to participate tournament like events for the students while the In-
charge enters the attendance in his system, automatically SMS send to the particular tutor
In-charge as he/she went to tournament (for the purpose of On-Duty).

To the college level all the players are allowed to play. Whereas to the state level,
the best players will be selected from the college level list which will be also saved in the
database.

2.1. EXISTING SYSTEM

The existing system is an environment where all in offline system, and also the
system does not support the intimation, the students are suffer from the attendance of
forgot, by this manner need of computerization process to play intimation based
attendance management of students and need to save the details of staff also.

DRAWBACKS

At present the requirements of the system are done manually and hence there are number
of limitation.

 The user can only do manual system of attendance.

 It makes the student very time to process

 The process makes very slow

 They cannot be easy entry of staff details

 Cannot prepare reports as possible as quick.

2.2. PROPOSED SYSTEM

This system has been developed to overcome all the drawbacks in the
existing system. This system is designed and developed according to the user
requirements. Tables created will have less chance for corruption, when compared to
previous paper work.

The cost of developing and implementing the system is comparatively low. The
proposed system should be capable of achieving the foresaid objectives, since the project
is developed as per the company requirement.

There are certain features for the proposed system.

 It makes intimation based system, thus it is very easy to the students
 Reports are very easily made
 Sports incharge details are viewed easily
 Sports attendance are tracked easily for the students

This module describes about Student Details. The Student details module enables
the administrator to maintain all the students’ database. The student details consist of
Name of the student, Register number, Course and department Studying.

b. Sports Details
This module describes about the List of sports available on the college. The sports
details split into two main categories one is Indoor and another one is out door.

c. Tutor details
This Module describes about Class Tutor Details. It consists of Tutor name, Class,
Department and his profile. This module helps to store all these details to database.

d. Sports In-charge
 This Module describes about sport Incharge Details. In College there are many
sports Incharge staffs are available. This module helps to store all these details to
database.
e. Reports
In here the reports of the students details such as student attendance, students
sports incharge and students personal details are viewed here.

In here the sports in-charge create the attendance of students, that is entered
directly in tutor entry.
