1. Concept: Weather is the state of the atmosphere, to
the degree that it is hot or cold, wet or
dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy. People often ask
about the weather because they want to wear appropriate
clothing.
2. Objectives:

4. Teaching and Learning Procedures
4.1 Pre-task
4.1.1 The teacher shows students pictures of “The
weather symbols; sunny, rainy, windy,
cloudy, snowy, hot, cold” and asks them the following
questions. Then, the teacher sticks the pictures on a board.
-What weather do you like? Why?
- Do you like sunny, rainy, windy, cloudy, snow?
-Have you ever seen snow?

4.2 Task Preparation
4.2.1 The teacher distributes students Worksheet 1
and asks them to write the new
studied vocabulary under the correct pictures in Part 1. In
part 2, each student writes the studied sentences in
conversation between Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Jane.
4.2.2 The teacher distributes students Worksheet 2:
“Weather in Thailand” which has

some missing information and asks them practice


speaking using Information-gap Task as follows.
“You and your partner will get Worksheet 2 which is
incomplete. You have to ask your
partner to complete the weather in Thailand. Don’t let
your friend look at your worksheet…”
4.2.2.1 The teacher tells about how to do the
Information-gap Task.
4.2.2.2 Student A has A sheet: “Weather in
Thailand”, and Student B has B Sheet: “Weather in
Thailand”. Student A must ask Student B to tell the
weather and temperature is marked on Sheet A, but not
on Sheet B. Student B must correctly write down the
weather and temperature on Sheet B. Then students
reverse roles to speak.
4.3 Task Realization
4.3.1 The teacher distributes students Worksheet 3:
“Weather around the world” which has some missing
information and asks them practice speaking using
Information-gap Task as follows.
4.3.1.1 In pairs, Student A has A sheet: Weather
in Thailand, and Student B has B Sheet: “Weather in
Thailand”. Student A must ask Student B to tell the
weather and temperature are marked on Sheet A, but not
on Sheet B. Student B must correctly write down the
weather and temperature on Sheet B. Then students
reverse roles.
4.3.2 The teacher lets some pairs to present the
weather around the world.
“Everyone, I’d like you to present the weather
around the world to the class.”

that they have used for asking about
