DYSMENORRHEA LEVEL ON ADOLESCENCE IN SMPN 2 KURIPAN

Adolescence is period of transition from teenagers to adulthood where
puberty in women marked of menstruation and at the time of menstruation suffered by women can cause some problems, one of them are dysmenorrhea or pain in menstruation. Hatha yoga is one of the non-pharmacological therapy that can be used to reduce the pain of dysminorrhoea. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of hatha yoga toward decreasing levels of dysminorous pain in adolescents in SMPN 2 Kuripan. Type of this research is Pre-Experiment using One Group Pre-Test - Post Test approach (pre and post test in one group) with population in this research around 60 people with samples taken around 16 people, technique used in taking the samples in this research is purposive sampling and instruments of data collection in this research are observation sheets hatha yoga movement and pain rate sheet (Numeric rating scale) while for data analysis using T-Dependent Test. The result of paired T test obtained the significant value p = 0.000 (p <0.05), the meaning of the result of data analysis above is significant because p value <0.05 where p value = 0.000 <0.05. Respondents were expected to use Hatha Yoga exercises to reduce discomfort of dysmenorrhea and they should avoid to use pharmacological techniques.
