The Alcatel-Lucent 9400 AWY family of digital point-to-point microwave radio systems offers scalability and
flexibility to satisfy the transmission needs of cellular mobile networks and microcellular network backhauling
(2G, 2.5G and 3G). They are also suitable for multiple applications in public and private networks, such
as private data networks (WANs, LANs), utility networks, and others. These cost-effective microwave radio
systems cover radio frequencies from 7 to 38 GHz with outstanding performance in each frequency band.
The 9400 AWY family supports IP-based solutions such as UMTS V.5 and WiMAX. A LAN interface expands
network design options for both indoor and outdoor use and increases new application choices.

• Indoor units (IDUs) – up to 32xE1 • Reduces both capital and operational
traffic interfaces expenses with equipment and mate-
• Each outdoor unit (ODU) supports rial commonalities in 1+0 and 1+1
both 4 and 16 QAM, software configurations
upgradeable as needed. • Minimizes outdoor units (ODUs)
MAIN IDU
• One ODU family exists with 32Mb needed for complete frequency
capacity / 4QAM only band coverage
