Environmental database This section describes the environmental data that has been used in the preparation of the different scenarios. At the start of each scenario the following wind and wave conditions are used: Wind: Nims Waves: Nim Values and direction of wind and waves may be adjusted before or during a simulation, This allows the simulator instructor to adjust the environment as needed. A complete 12 hour cycle of the current is modelled in the simulator. By selecting the start time of the simulations the instructor can select the required current. 12:00 corresponds with HW at Hull, At high water the current is ingoing and has a force of around 1.5 kts in the main channel. The currentfiolds close to Immingham lock and in the channel are given in appendix C for HW -6 hrs to HW+6 hrs. The next table gives an overview of the Tidal current close to thr Immingham Terminal Table 3-3: Tide at the Immingham Terminal Immingham | Watertevel | Current Terminal mi ten} Hw6 250 157 Hw.s 215 023 HW-4 093 2.00 Hw. 0.25 213 Hw.2 152 239 wer 270 229 Hw 319 134 Hwet 284 0.04 Hwee, 2.06 154 Hw, 076 255, HWed o64 2.85 HWw.5, 1.80 277 Hwss. 255 233 1"
