JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT-

I, 25 years old, single, and presently residing at 2356 Bautista Street, Brgy. Palanan, Makati
City, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with law, hereby depose:

That it is Prosecutor who conducted the examination of the undersigned affiant in the
Office of the City Prosecutor in the City of Manila;

That I hereby state, that in answering the questions asked of me as appearing below, I was
fully conscious that I did so under oath and that I may face criminal liability for false testimony or
perjury.

The testimony of the witness is being offered to prove the following:

1. That the accused Edgar Bastonero a.ka. Bugoy was with the witness before the incident of
the crime;
2. That the party was held in Manila, near the place of the incident of the crime which make
it possible for the accused to commit the crime.

The witness will also identify pertinent documents and evidence in the course of the
testimony.

QUESTION 1: Do you know the accused in this case?

ANSWER: Yes Ma,am. He is Edgar “Bugoy” Bastonero, an acquaintance of mine.

QUESTION 2: Do you know Sheila May Basco?

ANSWER: Yes, ma’am. She is my co-worker.

QUESTION 3: Where were you on December 13, 2018, around 8 p.m.?

ANSWER: I am in a party ma’am.

QUESTION 4: What party?

ANSWER: A company sponsored party.

QUESTION 5: Where was this party held?
ANSWER: In the function hall of Sta. Mesa Town and Country Hotel.

QUESTION 6: At what time did the party started?

ANSWER: 8:00 pm, ma’am.

QUESTION 7: Until what time?

ANSWER: Until 12:00 am.

QUESTION 8: Do you have any document to prove the same?

ANSWER: Yes, ma’am. I have the invitation letter for the said party.

QUESTION 9: I am showing to you a document with words “EAT DRINK BE MERRY written
in bold and capital letters, what can you say about this?
ANSWER: It is the invitation letter I was referring to.

QUESTION 10: What can you see in this invitation letter?

ANSWER: The place, date and time of the party is written here.

QUESTION 11: At bottom right of the invitation, a signature was affixed thereat, whose signature
is this?
ANSWER: It is the signature of our president, Ms. Maria Sta. Maria.

QUESTION 12: How did you know that it is her signature?

ANSWER: I am familiar with her signature, ma’am as I have seen couple of documents signed by
her.

QUESTION 13: About the party, do you remember who attended the party?
ANSWER: Yes ma’am. All employees attended the party, including Sheila Mae and some guests
of the employees.

QUESTION 14: You mentioned some guests, do you know anyone among these guests?
ANSWER: Yes, ma’am. Edgar “Bugoy” Bastonero was among them.

QUESTION 15: Do you recall what he was wearing on that day?

ANSWER: Yes, ma’am, I can recall because I found his outfit inappropriate for the party. He was
wearing a blue bench T-shirt. A khahi pants and a pair of white slippers.

QUESTION 16: Do you know when did the accused leave the premises?
ANSWER: As far as I could remember, it was around 10:00 pm.

QUESTION 17: How did you know?

ANSWER: He was in a hurry when he excused himself and told us that he needs to do something
important and then he left.

QUESTION 18: Was anyone with him when he left?

ANSWER: None, Ma’am.

QUESTION 19: How about Sheila Mae Basco, at what time did she leave the venue?
ANSWER: About 12 a.m, ma’a,m.

QUESTION 20: Was she with anyone?

ANSWER: Yes, ma’am. Me and Cindy, another colleague of ours left the party together since we
live in the same dorm.

QUESTION 21: Have you seen Edgar Bastonero after the party.
ANSWER: No, Ma’am.

QUESTION 22: Do you have anything more to add to your statements?

ANSWER: I have none for the moment.
