Panchayat union middle school of Savulur, kaveripattinam has been founded in the year 1964. (G.

O
no.302/64 21.07.1964 , 123/08 09.06.2008 permanently recognised) in the year 2008, the school has been
elevated to middle school.
Alongside Krishnagiri municipality middle school palayapet , PUMS Savulur has been selected as the best
rural school by Palli parimatra thittam in the academic year 2017-18. 60 students and 8 teachers has been
on an educational tour to Ramanathapuram, Rameshwaram and
Madurai
Ornithologist shri. Ganeshwar conducted a workshop for the students , explaining them the importance of
conservation and also to identify the birds. The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal, DIET,
Krishnagiri. During this academic year alone, 3 scientific exhibitions has been conducted. Food festival ,
industrial visits, field visits to paiyur research institute affiliated to Kovai agricultural University has been
carried out this year. In memorandum with Perumal manimekalai college, hosur , students visited places of
historical importance in Dharmapuri-krishnagiri vicinity. In one such visit, students discovered 8 rare
wooden artifacts and rehabilitated, exhibited them at school.
Works of the Red cross society of Savulur school is commendable.
Our students also participated in the competitions conducted by the Tamilnadu Science Movement winning
first place in the Krishnagiri district and also represented Krishnagiri district in the final level of the
competition.
Students of our school proved their mettle in sports. Special Chess trainer has been brought to school
from Dharmapuri to groom our children's skills. Everytime a scholar visits Dharmapuri-krishnagiri, we
ensured that they have a word with our students.
With the Kaveripattinam Rotary Club assistance, Republic day was celebrated with much plume. Writer, K.
Penneshwaran when visited our school to have a talk with our children benevolently volunteered to take 20
students and 6 teachers on an educational trip to Delhi at his own expense also marks the school and the
students' fortitude.
With the teachers' utmost dedication, Savulur school marches ahead to gather more feathers to its cap.
