MILAN 2030
A METROPOLITAN AND GLOBAL
CONNECTED CITY

A metropolis hub for global network.

Milan metropolitan area is a large hub
connected by airports and high-speed
train stations.
This ensures to the city the possibility to
serve Northern Italian companies but it
also gives the possibility to «intercept»
know-hows, build on them and
reintroduce them in international
networks .
MILANO 2030

A METROPOLITAN AND GLOBAL

N ECiLOBALE
CONNECTED CITY

Connect places with people.

Milan keeps working to improve the
communication network within the city
with a new subway line M4 and the
connection between Linate airport to
downtown in 14 minutes, the extension of
subway lines over the city borders and the
upgrade of the train connection through
the Circle line.
MILANO 2030
A METROPOLITAN AND GLOBAL
CONNECTED CITY

Hubs as development platforms.

Give value to the «access doors» along
the train tracks by redefining the train
exchange hub nature that everyday
attract a number of people. Subway
terminals and the main train station stops
are to be seen as opportunities to
establish services and relationships with
neighboring municipalities.

MILAN 2030
A CITY FULL OF
OPPORTUNITIES,
ATTRACTIVE AND INCLUSIVE

Transform, attract, excel. The

opportunity given by the «empty»
areas in the city.
Identified areas where to develop important
urban functions – both private and public –
to increase the value of an economy based
on advanced services, on research and
innovation thanks to the university, trade-
show, culture and health business so critical
for the urban and metropolitan Milan
development.

MILAN 2030
A RESILIENT, LIVABLE AND
GREEN CITY

Reduction of soil consumption index compared

Reduction of public soil consumption to the present building regulation protocol
The new building regulation protocol will not
generate any sqm of new volume, compared (from 70% to 74%)
to the present one and will preserve 1,7
million sqm from possible urbanization. This
will be done thanks to the elimination of ATU,
to more accurate forecast connected with
Mandatory Plans and to the commitment of
more than 3 mln sqm dedicated to
agriculture.
