Mathematics for Biomedicine

 Population genetics, where we use mathematics to help understand how gene frequencies in a population change
over time
 Systems biology, where we use ordinary differential equation (ODE) models to describe and understand enzyme
kinetics and cell processes
 Infectious disease modelling, where we see how the spread of different diseases through a community can be
modelled and how models contribute to public health policy.
