eNSP Installation Guide

Document Scope and Instructure


This document covers the eNSP installation to prepare the study environment, its separate serval

parts:

Part I. BIOS Setting

Part II. VirtualBox Installation (Only for Windows 10)

Part III. eNSP Installation

Part IV. USG6000V imagine Importing

Part I. BIOS Setting


In order to add USG6000V, firstly Enable virtualization in BIOS.

Enter the BIOS page after the computer is started. (You can search “How to access

BIOS” in Google)

Move the cursor to Virtualization and click Enter.

NOTE:

BIOS pages on different computers may be different. The example is for reference

only.

On the Virtualization page, set the Intel (R) Virtualization Technology to Enabled.

Save and exit the BIOS view to enter the operating system.

Part II. VirtualBox Installation (Only for Windows 10)


Download and install the newest VirtualBox version from the HUAWEIACAD)

Part III. eNSP Installation


Step 1 Download the eNSP from HUAWEIACAD).
Regardless of whether the purpose is to study the network, reproduce a
problem on a live network, or run a pre-project delivery simulation,
verification must be simulated. However, in practice there is often a lack
of the actual device needed for physical testing, and so eNSP has been
designed to easily create a virtual network to simulate the actual network
environment for testing purposes.
Because each simulated device occupies a certain amount of memory on
eNSP, the minimum configuration requirements for a system running
eNSP are: 2.0 GHz or higher dual-core CPU; 2 GB (4 GB-
Recommended) of RAM, 2 GB (4 GB-Recommended) of free disk
space, and either Windows 7(Recommended) or Windows 10 running as
the operating system.
Before installing eNSP, check the status of the system configuration.
Ensure that the minimum configuration requirements are met and then
perform the installation through the following steps:
Step 2 Double-click the eNSP installation file. The installation wizard dialog box is
displayed.
Step 3 Change the installation to English (the default installation language is
Chinese), and click OK.
Step 4 The welcome window is displayed. Then, click the Next button, as shown in
Figure 1-1.

Step 5 Select the installation location (the path cannot contain non-English
characters). Then, click the Next button, as shown in Figure 1-2.

Step 6 Select the Start menu folder in which the eNSP program shortcut will appear.
Then, click the Next button, as shown in Figure 1-3.

Step 7 Choose whether to create a program shortcut on the desktop. Then, click the
Next button, as shown in Figure 1-4.

Step 8 Select the software to be installed. Note: For initial installations, select every
software option. Then, click the Next button, as shown in Figure 1-5.

Remark:If your Operation System is WIN 10, please Un-check the VirtualBox option.

Step 9 Confirm the installation information. Then, click the Install button to start the
installation, as shown in Figure 1-6.

Step 10 If you do not want to open eNSP immediately after the installation is finished,
deselect the Launch eNSP check box. Click the Finish button to complete the
installation, as shown in Figure 1-7.

Part IV. USG6000V imagine Importing


Step 1 Download the USG6000V.zip from HUAWEIACAD)
Step 2 Add USG 6000V in eNSP:

Click and Open the eNSP application. Follow the following action to add the
USG6000V.
