1 Product Overview

honor Band 3 is a fashionable 50 m water-resistant sports band that integrates the functions of
heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, sleep monitoring, and message notification. It is the
ideal companion for your smartphone. Once paired with your smartphone, the band provides
you with valuable health-related information.
The band features:
 Long battery life
 Heart rate monitoring and limit alert
 Tracking and monitoring of daily activity information, including step count, calories
burned, and distance covered.
 Monitoring of medium- and high-intensity activity duration and the number of hours the
user stands up.
 Support for running and swimming
 Sleep status monitoring and sleep data collection
 Support the sleep monitoring technology of TruSleep
 Alarm notifications
 Notifications supported include incoming calls, SMS messages, emails, calendar events,
WeChat, QQ, and other social media apps.
You can also download and install the Huawei Wear app and Huawei Health app for use with
your band. Huawei Wear enables you to manage your band from your phone. Huawei Health
helps you check fitness and health data and get a better understanding of your physical status.

2 Product Functions and Applications

2.1 Pairing with your phone

Step 1 Scan the QR code on the packaging or on the paper inserts inside the box, or search for
Huawei Wear in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to install or update the Huawei
Wear app.

Use a smartphone running Android 4.4 or later, or iOS 8.0 or later.

Step 2 Enable Bluetooth on your phone and open the Huawei Wear app. Follow the onscreen
instructions to access the list of available devices.
Step 3 Choose the band name and its Bluetooth name.

The band name is displayed on the packaging. If the band has not been paired to a phone before, touch
the home button in the start screen to show the Bluetooth name.

Step 4 Touch the home button when your band receives a pairing invitation and vibrates. Now your
band is paired with your phone.

2.2 Heart rate monitoring

You can manually measure your heart rate if you are wearing your band correctly. You can
also switch on Automatically measure heart rate in the Huawei Wear app. When this
function is enabled, your band will monitor your heart rate throughout the day.

Your band will measure your heart rate every second when you are running. If your heart rate
exceeds the limit set in Heart rate limit warning, your band will notify you.

The heart rate data cannot be used for medical purposes.

2.3 Fitness tracking

 Your band automatically identifies your walking/running status and records your step
count, distance covered, calories burnt, and other data. Your band also records data such
as duration of medium- and high-intensity activities and the number of hours you stand
up.
 You can use your band while running and swimming and view relevant fitness data on
your band in real time.
 You can bring up the fitness screen of your band once you enable fitness mode in the
Huawei Health app. Your band will display the fitness data.

You need to download and install the Huawei Health app to sync and view your fitness and heart rate
data.

2.4 Sleep monitoring

Your band collects sleep data and identifies your sleep status when you wear it during sleep. It
can identify when you are entering or exiting sleep and whether your are in light or deep sleep.
You can view detailed sleep data in Huawei Health.
The band adopts the sleep monitoring technology of TruSleep (certified by the Center for
Dynamical Biomarkers, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (CDB center) of Harvard
Medical School), which can accurately analyze various stages of sleep, including deep sleep,
light sleep, REM sleep and awake, to help you obtain sleep quality evaluations and
recommendations authorized by the CDB center of Harvard Medical School.

2.5 Message notifications

 Incoming call notification
Your band vibrates to notify you and displays the caller name or number when there is an
incoming call. You can use your band to reject the incoming call.
 Message notifications
Supported message types include: SMS messages, emails, calendar events, and messages
from other social media apps such as WeChat and QQ.
Your band will vibrate when a new message notification appears in your phone's
notification bar. You can view the messages on your band.

Make sure that your band is paired to your phone properly and your phone has normal Internet
connection to use incoming call and message notification features.
