The assessment request form is available online: http://aeu.gallaudet.edu, This service is not tied to the ASLPI. During the assessment, the diagnostician engages the individual in a conversational exchange which is videotaped and which elicits a language sample using a variety of tasks and stimuli. This protocol is designed to obtain data about ASL production, grammar, lexical knowledge, usage, and comprehension. (You will need to bring a blank DVD for this purpose or you can purchase a blank DVD for $2.00.) You will review the taped session with your Assessor who will identify ASL and/or communication strengths and weaknesses.
