KNOWING MY TEAM

As you know, companies are created by people to develop different commercial


activities. One of the most important elements of these enterprises is Human
Resources. The management of workers becomes an important challenge for
managers in order for them to take advantage of their employees’ capacities
and knowledge and turn that into company benefits.

Basic conceptual topics related with Human Resources are the next:

This company has implemented excellent techniques to create a labor environ-


ment where workers feel comfortable and want to offer their best results. Now,
I´m going to read a text that my boss has suggested me. She told me there are
some tips to improve my work. Some of them are secrets of the art of HRM, the
kind of skills that marketing and sales staff require and the new ways for work-
ing in modern companies.

The skills required staff marketing and sales

Brainpower, independence, creativity and capacity are good features to


use to choose a person and incorporate him/her to the company’s team. This
person is able to solve different tasks in an efficient way. The best employee
is one who takes on their its responsibilities with commitment.

The most appreciated characteristics of the marketing employees are:

New ways to work

The needs of the labor environment have changed in the last decades as a result
of increased concern for the quality of working life. In other words, companies
have detected that offering improved worker conditions in different areas like
benefits, development and empowerment results in work achievements.
Technological advances such workings remotely, among others, have permitted
the development of different kinds of new company structure.

These new structures demonstrate various kinds of relationship between workers


and their organizations. Some of the best known structures include:

Co-working which consists of professionals from different areas working on the


same project. They share a common workspace and permanent collaboration in
order to achieve their main purpose.

Free-worker is a concept related to individual or solitary work that is connect-


ed to networks or work communities because of a common project.

Some key ideas to establish and maintain a good environment in the


workplace

Companies have noticed changes that they must implement in order to achieve
their objectives; workers have also adapted to the new work tendencies. There
are some keys that will be very useful to apply to development of excellent
work.

To communicate the company’s mission statement clearly and concisely


To explain the company’s expectation to the team and to each coworker
To promote teamwork through formal and informal team-building activities
To communicate group expectations immediately and regularly
Set clear and measurable goals for your individual team members
To reward great work as quickly as possible
To motivate with positive messages and personal rewards
To use meetings to listen to ideas and results from workers

Conclusions

Human Resources Management is in charge of offering very good labor condi-


tions taking into account the worker’s welfare as well as company´s needs. Addi-
tionally, this department is the connection between the company’s strategies and
policies and worker’s better results.

Today, companies are searching proactive, brainpower, creative and committed


workers. They must be capable to solve problems. HRM have to recognize these
kinds of employees and incorporated them to the company’s team.
Technological advances have changed the traditional relationship between
workers each other and with the companies, promoting other kind of structures
like coworkers and freeworkers among others

It is excellent to be part in a company that think in its employees and try to de-
velop policies to help everybody.
